Description
I apologize for the long time without any new paintings. I was on vacation and from now on there will be a new image every week.This pyramid is the entrance to the pharao's grave (last painting). The last time a human eye saw this place is long ago and soon enough the whole pyramid will be covered by dunes.
All it's stories will be forgotten, good and bad. The celebration when it was finished after decades of hard work, the day when the king was carried down into his grave and also the many wars it endured.
And even though all of these stories will be burried by the sand we shouldn't be sad because the future will bring new stories which will leave their marks in the clean sand over the pyramid.
I hope you like it. I will read every comment and appreciate every favourite.

You are welcome. Well, reading about ancient Egyptian culture, weapons and daily lifestyle always fascinate me. But most of all I love myths about Egyptian gods, especially about Anubis and Horus.

It's sad to think that such a majestic old place that took so much effort to build is laying abandoned and unknown (soon to be lost forever). Downright gorgeous choices for the colors, tying together two types of Twilight. Great textures and really great work keeping the perspectives in line, and it must have been a pain to do all of the steps. The only thing that has me stumped is what could have cracked the stones on the closest corner without damaging the pylon and/or leaving debris, since I'm pretty sure it would have to be impact damage for the crack to follow across stones like that. (An internal collapse seems unlikely. Hmm... Perhaps during some war a shell went way off course and no one gave it another thought.)
BTW, nice poetry in the description, and also that was a sweet treat with the floating dust at the end of the video.

Thank you for this long comment, Fairy Slayer. I appreciate it. Yeah, the steps took hours to paint and sadly I couldn't find a good shortcut.
About the cracked stones: I didn't think about it enough. My idea is that under the first layer of stones is a hollow room. (maybe they used bad materials at this corner which let the second layer dissapear over the years). Then there was some sort of impact which let the whole thing collide. But your Idea about the shell from a war seems to make the most sense.
