The balance between the growth and city frames this scene wonderfully.

I love the mix of natural and industrial and the atmospheric and depth of field effects.

Hm... Only the lyrics of Firelake's "Live to forget" come to mind:
"Dead leaves cover the entire land
And the homes are hiding behind a wall of trees -
To this city no one ever will return..."

Chapter 10: Entering Fyter (Excerpt)
The water that flowed underneath the bridge remain undisturbed, and only the distant chirping of parrots could be heard from the branches that were overgrown on the red bridge.
"What is this place?" questioned Zaden curiously.Β
Kazer looked at him emptily, he had no clue what city this was, even more important, where they where on the map. Their digital compasses read "No Signal". This was bad, really bad news.
"Don't tell me we have entered the Uncharted Quarters right? Not the Vermillion Forest?" asked Kazer suspiciously.
Both of them had their weapons drawn. Kazer who was crouching was holding his bow with the arrow near his chest, ready to counter anything that fire at any moment, the tip of his arrow was lit. Zaden kept his sword in a defensive stance, he touched the ground and closed his eyes, using his Earth element to give them a better perspective of the abandoned city, before he felt a massive presence on the other side of the bridge.
"Oh crap, l just felt something large is coming our way..." stated Zaden nervously.
They heard in the distance, large steps walking towards them. Zaden and Kazer quickly leapt behind a pile of huge rocks beside the entrance to the red bridge. The colossal figure slowly materialised, and ZadenΒ caught a glimpse of the gigantic figure standing in the middle, obstructing their way. He seemed to be scouting for something, but the question is what was it?
It was one of the mercenaries from the Scorpion Clan. This only meant one thing, the City of Fyter was just ahead.
"What do you think he is doing?" whispered Kazer, holding his grip on the bow more tighter than ever. Zaden gently shrugged his shoulders.Β
However, that question was immediately answered when two wanted posters were glued on a pillar of the red bridge, it was of Zaden and Kazer.
They knew they needed to get through, otherwise Colt's sacrifice would all be for nothing.Β

I enjoy it when artists actually have some kind of process video or something to show how they go about painting in a digital medium. I struggle with digital painting a lot and can't quite grasp the techniques very well, may be I'm not spending enough time actually practicing or learning about digital painting but videos like yours help understand it a little more. Also a very nice piece, love the atmosphere and the perspective is spot on

"Sunlight" breathed Adam "...at last" he thought as he caught sight of the light at the edge of the forest. It seemed like he'd been squinting for days and he had just about had it.
As he broke through the brush at last he looked around taking in his surroundings and caught a flash of red in the distance. He walked out from under the shady overhanging trees and saw the bridge. "Hmm... it must be a remnant from the Droid Period, remarkably intact" he mused to himself.
He touched his pocket, briefly considering if there was enough time to sketch before dismissing the thought. He had to get the parts back to the Society. They needed the microtransmitter if they were going to have any hope of getting information out of the Citadel tonight....

The greenery adds so much to the beauty of the (forlorn, forgotten) bridge. There's no reason we shouldn't have planters beautifying our real-life structures like this. Maybe someday!

Really love it ! It reminds me of the old logo for deviantART ^^
So the story will be :
"In a world, where all the civilization is practically extinct, remains a group of people : the artists !
They live in an abandoned town in the USA, where the main bridge is a mark of the peace past.
These people try to live by loving their art, and eating (ahah).
What will happen if they meet the politicians, who hates art ?"
Well, that's a strange story ^^

I love your paintings! There's always so much attention to detail, like the add in the background.
A story, you ask? Here's what pops to my mind:
It was another day of fishing. It was the only thing I was capable of doing nowadays; sitting by the water, tending the lines. I had never considered it a useful skill. In fact, I used to find it quite dull. When I was younger and learning how to fish, my dad would tell me sit still and be patient -- things I looked down on with great disdain. But now... now everything was different. Ever since the food ran out, fishing, the skill I once scoffed at, has saved my life.Β
I sat by the bank and looked up at the great red bridge. It was slowly being reclaimed by nature, vines hanging on its lofty arches. In fact, the red looked more orange today. It was originally red, right? Or has it always had this orange tint? I shook my head. Had it really only been 3 years? Only 3 years since the food supply was attacked?Β
I focused back on my lines, not wanting to remember those horrible weeks. Instead, I watched the sun bounce off the water. Today seemed brighter, almost hopeful. Maybe something will happen today. Maybe, I thought wistfully, I would see a another human. But then, would I want to see another human? Perhaps I would, just to know that I wasn't alone. But certainly, I wouldn't want them to see me.Β
I sighed and looked back to the red bridge once more.
