Challenged myself to sketch and paint a prop a day for a month.Kept simple and exploratory and done simply for enjoyment.

This is such a great idea! Simple and quick practice, but flexes your drawing, painting and design muscles all at the same time. Really great work; your handling of materials on these is great, especially all the leather ones with subtle folds and creases. The arrangement of the triangles on the rounder coin purse in the third row are really nice. Nice reminder that things can look great without being ridiculously complex, too.

these are great, especially like the candles and the single glove.
Some of the cast shadows in places are aΒ little odd, for me namely the mask. But they're also just to give ground so probably not at the top of your list of things to worry about. Great rendering on the crossbow and the log. And even the paper for the map. The letter is a little less believable as paper.
I may have to challenge myself to this project as well. I've never really considered just doing props before.

My ideas - some were things I'd been playing around with for some time. Others were random, others were from reference. I would usually do several sketches on post-its and pick the cream of the crop
