Description WOW, seeing as i got a DD, i think i should show you guys and update.

been playing around with this and finishing up things here and there, notable new things are
-gills in front of the rear tires.
-new tires
-and front and rear lights
-and some materail fixes.

and i am getting close to the final renders (i know i say that a lot :S lol )

but all i need to do is play around with the tires, add some side wall adn some deformation in the tires to show wieght.

and THANKS!!!!!

I hope you're going to go to town on these 'final renders' you keep talking about hehe.

Some funny business going on with the front bumper where it joins the rest of the body?

it depend what you mean by "going to town" lol, they are basicly goin to look like those ones, but with the light coming from better places.

A bit more creative studio/light set-up?

at the moment, this is the final studio plus some light fixes, if you ahve some tutorail or better setup i would love to see them, its just that my talent is runnig out with this rendering business lol

Ok, I like the setup you have, it's just a bit stale though. I think giving it some more depth would be good [link] this tut might be a different method to what you're using.

WOW, this is really awesome!! I went and looked at all your WIP (just found you lol). I'd LOVE to have this car! What program will it be compatible with? I use Daz Studio which uses Poser stuff as well.

Is there any plans of release-sale?

thanks for the comment!!

i havent had any plans on selling, manly becuase, i am using 3ds max and vray, vray materials are not very compatabale with other rendering programs, so i really think you need max and vray, or aleast another program that can use vray like maya.

and its not very computer friendly, on render you need around 6 gig of ram.

but hey, i am not saying i wouldnt sell it, just that my customer base isnt that big

thanks agian

Everything is great on the car, except one thing. I don't agree with the color/texture of the tires. I hate to say it but they kinda look like they have a plastic feel to them. I wonder if it would help to have them a darker grey on on the side a shine maybe? Some reflection (if only just) might help.

i 100% agree, once i model in the sidewalls, i am goin to play around with the tire mats.

thanks

Hey no worries. At first I thought one of your other images was real but it was the tires that tipped me off. Once again, great work on this.

Great job with this project.

Are you going to add tire labelling around the rim also? The material still looks a bit shiny-smooth for rubber (kind of like plastic), but unfortunately I'm not good enough with materials to be of any help there. The metals are fantastic though.

tomsullivan In reply to dragonriderduo [2009-05-03 14:13:35 +0000 UTC]

i know what you mean with the tire mat. its been my foe for some time now. but, i will be modeling a side wall, lables, and once that is done i will look at the material agian.

Thanks!!!
