I saw this My Pet Monster dog toy for £8 at B&M and immediately thought I could customise it into a plush more reminiscent of the original. First I had to remove the squeakers and crinkly surround wrap. then remove the rubbish teeth, and weird duck flipper hands and feet. I also bought a bag of stuffing to plump it up. It's hands and feet are made from cheap children's gloves. I made his feet have a reversible talon like a bird of prey. Of course, that makes no sense without wings, so that's what I need to work on next. Yeah, as I worked on it, my ideas started to deviate from the original. I think I'm aiming to have this be like the next stage of Pokemon evolution for MPM. Anyway, I gave him some felt eyelids and red lined under the eye to make him look meaner, and I pulled down his eyebrows and stitched them into place for the same reason. Legs were taken from a cheap blue monkey plush. Nose warts and claws are made from foam clay and super glued on. I'm really happy with how this is coming along, I just hope I don't mess it up as I do more work on it.
