That's very good I'm still adjusting to blenders capabilities. Hopefully I can get as good as you some day.

That's a pretty awesome debut, mate~
Makes me wanna try Blender myself!
IMHO I would soften the beauty's skin reflections a tiny bit more with a blur however.

...really surprised of the quality of the mesh and rigs coming from Makehuman...

Interesting! Yes, I agree, but, what about morphs??

I know right...one day this photo will be the inspiration for all realistic 3D graphics photolism. And possibly including animation.

Yes this is a make human export, with a bit of sculpting in Blender though (I imported and posed her, then did some sculpting and work on the texture (for the feet especially) )

Answers please

That's awesome, now you should make one showing just her face.

if you still have the current model of her.

This is how they "all" should be making them.

Brilliant and inspirational.
I've been playing around with Makehuman over the past two weeks
and I have to say this has inspired me to press on when I had almost given up on it.

And why not cycles for whole scene?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TomWalks In reply to kilbeeu [2014-05-29 14:48:08 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. Because subsurface scatering has to be rendered using the CPU (Maybe not anymore) and this is really kind of slow, you have to be really patient to set it up correctly.
Plus sometimes I behave like a fusebox and I just want go Flash >>>

I'm not really "career-ing" this away, plus things I don't even show. It's just about existing outside life somewhat ...

How wonderful Pose, shading, lighting, compositing - all parts together are making it a very well-balanced and beautiful artwork.
The hair looks really photo-real and I am amazed by such little details like the earring and especially your work on the sole of foot.
The pose looks beautiful, though I m not 100% sure, if the pose of the left leg is correct. In any case it looks a bit uncomfortable, but this does not lessen its beauty for me

orux100 [2014-03-06 10:38:05 +0000 UTC]

so, you haven't modeled her? Materials and lighting is great but i feel that she is a bit hmm blocky (or flat, don't know how to describe it) in some places.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TomWalks In reply to orux100 [2014-03-06 11:39:53 +0000 UTC]

Well, let's say I "half modelled" her. I generated a hairless female base mesh with Makehuman (in a T pose). Once imported to blender, I used a rig to make the pose, applied the pose, switched to scult mode and reworked the shape, added details, etc... Reworked her feet and added hairs. Basically, it's about using a sculpting caneva.

orux100 In reply to TomWalks [2014-03-06 16:37:17 +0000 UTC]

got it , I think I found particular place which bugs me. It's the connection between top of hmm ass (apologize for this word) and lower back. probably that highlight makes it seem flat (like to much polish used) and on the left part of the ass there are such "sharp lines as well.", but my anatomy knowledge is not that great so i may be wrong, hope you got the idea.
