Cars are considered female in french so it's a "la" ^^
La voiture (the car)
Le camion (the truck)

Un SUV
Le SUV
Β I'll even give you an extra tricky one:
The hatchback
Le break
La peugeot 206 break
I think break is male because it stem from the shape of the trunk, which is male (LE coffre de la voiture)Β
therefor you can call a car "le break" when specifying a hatchback car among other non-hatchback vehicles
However when you talk about a specific car which is female then the hatchback part become aΒ qualifier and so you keep the female pronouns
-"Tu a qu'a prendre LA toyota break."
-"Ok je prend LE break"
I heard that this le la thing is the most confusing stuff about the french language. Even for us it can be confusing sometime as in some part of the country it might be a "le" and in some other part it's a "la"
In french canada for example they call la voiture "Le char"
At the end of the day the le la thing is just a second layer to the french vocabulary. I don't think there's an easy way to learn vocabulary in any language other than speaking and reading/listening to it long enough.
