Bloody hell, this is insane, given how small it is. I really like it. How in the world did you put the detail in the leaves? What utensils did you use ... just very fine brushes? (Sorry if this is a silly question, and sorry to be redundant if you've answered it elsewhere).

Yes I used very fine brushes with sharp points while the paint is thin
Thank you!

JB - is that for Hieronymus Bosch with "Jeronymus" spelling?

In The Netherlands we call him sometimes Jeroen Bosch. I used that name.

Odd it is...wonderful job on the metal helmet, it does indeed look quite real. The wings appear to be ears. Am I correct on this?

I think it has started working somewhere along the way, the plains in background seem to be well in balance. Compositionally, the large helmet pretty much dominates, but there's a lot going on when you let your eyes off it. Good stuff

you can never go wrong with Bosch, just got back from el Prado and saw some his nicest pieces, a trully inspiring artist he is.
I love how the beak just pierces the mask,
nice job

The bird with the pot on it head! Sitting on a high chair and excreting gluttons in bubbles... that was my favourite character from that piece of his, so I recognise that bird!
This is very very good.
