goodness! i do so hope that this spectacularly rendered portrait does not hint at more autobiographical aspects of your friend's conditon in more than a metaphorical sense. The marvelous malevolence you project in the portrait very much suggests a very dark and dangerous outward manifestation of the conditon along with the horrible internal effects it has on her. Kind of like a Lady Dr Jekyl telling you, "You will not like me when i drink -- but i do" You have down a superb job in expressing the emotive, solemn details of your companion's awful condition along with creating an image that has far darker, much broader sinister supernatural symbolism outside of the original motivational model.
