Quicksilver + Kid Devil (Red Devil)

Pietro Roth is the brother of Raven Maximoff, child of Magda Arella (Roth). Unlike his sister, he was seemingly not warped by the Joker, Demon of the Darkhold, and was born before his sister, and appeared as a normal baby. Bova, the Goat midwife presented the baby to the Low Evolutionary, the Worm that evolved himself who was unimpressed with the child. He was more interested in the girl born later, who demonstrated clear manipulation by the Demon of Wundagore. He ordered Bova to give the boy child to a nearby family (as his mother had died after giving birth to the twins). Later, after samples were taken, the Low Evolutionary told Bova to give the girl to another family.

However, Pietro was not normal, and soon exhibited a super speed ability. His speed and white hair made him a sort of outcast, but nowhere near as much as the preternatural Raven. When Raven's powers began to develop (about the same time as his own) she was driven from the Romani village, Pietro, feeling a sort of kinship to her (neither knew they were siblings) went with her to "protect" her. For a time, they were found and being manipulated by Monsieur Magnetite (of the City of the Apes) where they joined other villains such as Lady Specter, Glob, and Pyromania. Escaping that influence, they tried their hands as heroes and joined the X-Titans (their former enemies). It was during an adventure during this time that the two discovered the truth of their heritage. This made Pietro want to protect his "newfound" sister even more.

He eventually contacted Dr. Felix Faustus, noted psychologist and exorcist and begged him for help in separating Raven from the Darkhold's influence. Dr. Faustus "researched" the issue, and agreed to take the case. Faustus had made a reputation of dealing with possessions, that he "treated" as psychological disorders, but he was willing to take this case of clear demonic influence because Faustus was actually a sorcerer who gained most of his power from demons. Hoping to usurp Raven's power for himself, Dr. Felix Faustus set up the exorcism. However, all he did was garner the Joker's attention. Rapidly striking a deal to save his life, Dr. Faustus offered up Pietro as a sacrifice, and the Joker noted the boy as the rather human twin of his own child Raven. He couldn't have family running around like some human, could he? That wouldn't do at all. So he altered Pietro, bringing out the demonic influence dormant in the boy since his time in utero with Raven, and created Speed Devil. His powers of speed increased along with his more demonic appearance, and a little fire control.

Still maintaining his heroism, but fighting his demonic nature just as his sister was, Speed Devil aids his sister in her quest to save the world from the Demon of the Darkhold.

Meta Backstory- So after drawing Raven Maximoff, The Joker's Daughter by TonyTempest on DeviantArt I knew eventually I would need to work out her brother. Obviously, this needed to be based on Quicksilver, but wasn't sure what demon to pick for the other side. I wanted to keep it Titans oriented, as both Duela Dent and Raven were Titans. Raven's brothers were a choice, but none of them really stood out. Then I remembered Kid Devil, who later became more demonic and was a Titan. So, that got the ball rolling with him being relatively normal then demonic after dealing with a demon. Rather than seeking power, he was looking to save his sister, though. I thought I would heavily lean on Kid Devil for the transformation part, but couldn't think of the hero worship part at the beginning of Kid Devil's career, so just settled on his brotherly devotion being similar enough. There were some tweaks to the original history posted under Raven Maximoff... but nothing was retconned too much. And of course, I namedropped a lot of new amalgams, some of which I may get around to drawing! I had to come up with a name for the hero and didn't want to use Speed Demon because that, of course, was a canonical character in the actual Amalgam comics... but Speed Devil works and seems to be a phrase in some use as well...
