Red Tornado + Vision

The Vortex was created by an enemy of the Justice League Avengers: West Coast to infiltrate and destroy them. He was captured and recreated by Dr. Hank Hol who used the brain engrams of an enemy with a similar story.

Wonder Warrior (Grant Williams) was created by S.W.A.R.M. when Deathstroke the Reaper would not take a contract to destroy the JLA:WC. Grant was Slade Williams' son and was eager to prove himself every bit the soldier as his father. Brother Zemo oversaw the process of imbuing the young man with ionic energy to create a powerful warrior. Grant fought the JLA:WC but the process began eating away at him from the inside. He "died" before he could defeat his enemies. Dr. Hank Hol used an experimental process of saving his literal brain functions and "identity" onto an Nth metal hard disk with the hopes of saving the young man later.

The opportunity arose with the Nth metal/Vibranium alloy body of the Vortex. Rewriting the personality matrix of the synthezoid with Grant Williams' engrams created a new identity, one unique from any of its forebears. The new Vortex turned on his robotic creator, instead, and helped the JLA:WC win the day. He later joined the JLA:WC and proving even an android can love, began dating Cold Spell.

Meta background: Firstly, Red Tornado and Vision is not an original amalgam by any stretch! I looked up some other versions of this, and want to give credit at least to people who seem to have arrived at "Vortex" as the name seperately-- , and I just really liked this name, the Vortex is clearly inspired by Red Tornado, while the word starts with a V and has the same number of letters as "Vision". I did do my own version of costume. I dropped any of the Vision's green and Red Tornado's blue, leaving only the red and gold. I hope it's as striking as I think it is.

This amalgam thread is probably from the same universe as Cold Spell, Warhawk, and Hummingbird of Justice League Avengers: West Coast. Work picked up again and my ideas for Skartaris the Savaged Land will wait until I can really dedicate some time to doing them right. I'm still excited by that, but these ideas also are interesting to me, so we'll do a couple from this universe... Also, I skipped over who created the Vortex synthezoid....I'm still thinking on who Ultron will be amalgamed with. Right now I'm circling around Computo (another evil robot created by a hero with good intentions), T.O. Morrow (to combine the enemy who created Red Tornado with the enemy who created vision) and Braniac... Braniac I think is in the lead cause computo is from 1000 years in the future, and frankly I've never been fond of Morrow.
