I've been watching too much Evangelion as of late. I decided to do a character study of Unit 01, trying to figure out the way it was "built".After looking at a lot of images and footage I drew this, occaisionally going back to images for detail reference.
Also, I used the head detail I drew as the base for my Eva Wallpaper.
Neato-factos:
During the season, the Eva's fins seem to change size!
The Eva's height also seems to vary episode to episode somewhat.
The Evas have very human-like proportions, although they carry themselves in a more primal stance.

I'm watching, waiting and worrying about said movie.
Although its being worked on by WETA (Done work on many films, PotC, LotR and others), I feel the incorporation of live action/3D may really ruin the feel for things. Plus, compressing the whole series into >3 hours? Not possible in my opinion.
Look for the Eva Remake, its going to be a 3 part animated remaking of the ending. The first part is supposedly coming out sometime soon in Japan.
