I'm really glad you're drawing in the GMD universe again. I love your style of Basil, always have throughout your masterpieces. I said awhile back I liked how you drew his hands, or they were a portion that has fascinated me for years. In this picture, I'm grinning right back to that familiar smug one of his. Even when having a cup of tea he will give a 'so sure of himself' expression, almost as if he's saying, "I made this myself without burning Mrs. Judson's kitchen down!" 
The untied cravat around his neck and lack of a waistcoat tells me he's just ended a rough day and is ready to unwind with the most popular beverage of Britain. The 
Anyway, your art is always a delight to see in my notifications, and the feeling increases when it involves my favorite characters.

I'm just glad everytime people say I 'catch' him, because he can be really tricky. Not just to draw, no, but to catch his essence - that can be a bitch, so I really appreciate comments like yours. It also really gives me the drive to continue.

I had a conversation with a co-worker about dA. She said she used to be a member from its first launch. Eventually she stopped coming around, let her subscription expire, and then she finally deactivated her account. Her reason was that she was tired of the constant drama and trolls who do nothing but stir up mischief. I figured she didn't have a good experience and she decided the site had more immature twats than actual, professional artists.
Having said all that, I try to remain on a positive angle. You, and among other artists here, are one of the main reasons why I've stayed for so long. Also, when I give a comment, I want it to be a truthful one. Depending on my current mood, I often speak my thoughts more than usual.
