Description
Ironic title since you can clearly see the US stamped on the blanket.Going to work on a pic in a little bit tiring but here's a picture of my mix of Eastern Bloc firearms and equipment.
Romanian made PSL-54C sniper rifle.
Russian made Mosin Nagant M91/30 rifle with sniper bolt.
Russian made Nagant M1895 revolver. (Really need a auto.)
Bulgarian made AK-74 rifle with Russian 45 round magazine.
Polish made PPsh-41 (former SMG) semi-auto rifle.
East German M1956 helmet. (Got a Russian M41 helmet too.)
Russian GP-5 gas mask with Israeli filter.
Russian tactical gloves.
Russian Kamysh pattern assault vest.
And last but not least. US 1960s era blanket!

Only if you have a class 3 license, if you want a original PPsh.
The semi-auto converted PPsh was a pain in the ass to convert since it was originally a open bolt design. Pretty much the original bolt had to be drilled and a firing pin had to be installed.

Hmmmmm, not exactly sure but if you have a FFL license like gun dealers do (a lot of people at home get them to have firearms shipped directly to them), it's fairly easy to get a class 3 license.
I haven't checked on how you get one without a FFL.

Well not all too bad, AK-74 was like $595, PSL was a little over $600, PPsh was eehh not sure, probably around $600 (Had it put together from a parts kit), $80 for the Mosin Nagant and $100 for the Nagant revolver. Just ordered a automatic pistol for $250.

Ahhh I've been helping some friends that live in Massachusetts which has guns laws nearly as strict as California. They have plenty of money to spare but never really shot rifles so I suggested they get SKS rifles for training. Since standard versions only have a ten round capacity, and would be legal in that state.

Hehe thanks, I really need to get a automatic pistol though. Originally wanted a SIG Sauer P230 for a conceal carry weapon, but might just get a Makarov pistol so I can take the CCW course and get that P230 later.
Definitely going to get a Tokarev pistol though since I have a large amount of Tokarev ammo.

That's pretty cool, I hoping to get a class three license so I could purchase a fully automatic assault rifle, but I'd have to pass the test first. But crossing my fingers, lol. I personally love my M1 Garand rifle for a defense type of situation or anytime of hunting or survival situation. It is a good rifle to have for any situation. But your Ak-74 and that mosin nagant are also very good weapons to have in any situation. I do love your weapons though, do you go to the range often?

You don't need a license to own a fully-automatic weapon registered before May of 1986.

I haven't lately, trying to conserve ammo and waiting til I get a job so I can procure more. If there was a serious situation where I would have to use one it would either be the PSL or AK-74. Though with either (namely the PSL) I would have to have a good sidearm as well.

Of all this collection, I REALLY love the Nagant Revolver. Depending on the situation of city police when I join them (they're not allowed to have guns in my country - only the main police forces can - but this is slowly changing), I might check to see if they're legal and find one. Uncle Alex told me his brother Andrei can get me one easily (he said some russian cops strangely are fond of them, so one might still come across them for sale).

Tora044 In reply to KholdMalik [2012-12-06 01:01:53 +0000 UTC]
Nagant revolvers are awesome pistols, I'm guessing they like it because of how powerful the round is. Makarov ammo is horribly weak compared Nagant pistol ammo and Tokarev ammo for that matter. Though I'm thinking of getting a Makarov pistol just so I can get a conceal carry weapon license. Then get a SIG Sauer P230 at a later date.
Kinda silly that they have such strict gun laws especially when most of Brazil is dense jungle. Maybe they just don't want any guerillas in the jungle.

KholdMalik In reply to Tora044 [2012-12-06 10:22:32 +0000 UTC]
Hehehe, maybe. My uncle commented that Nagant ammo, originally, were "cut-down rifle rounds or something" that they improvised to cut expenses in makinga whole new calliber. Makes sense, since the bullet has such a weird and thick shape.
Well, these laws come from dictatorship times. It also helps that the Human Rights assholes believe that less weapons equals less violence (while in the desertic north-east of my country, is pretty common people get murdered daily with knives and machetes). But yes - brazilian government do fear a revolution. You can't say these laws do any help to stop crime here, because drug dealers get american-made guns from Colombia and russian copies from Bolivia. People here invade homes and kills all their residents because they KNOW two things:
1 - The residents most likely have no weapons.
2 - If they do and kill the criminal, they still go under arrest for first degree murder (HomicΓdio Doloso). No joke: It happens a lot here.
All thanks to an dictatorship backed by rich countries, followed soon after by corrupt or stupid (or both) politicians that took over when the "democracy" came. Then our constitution became this mashup of stupidity. Recently, government has been slowly reviewing some of these rules (they are even going to vote on giving the people the right to bear arms - ironically, the president is from the party that took this right AND was a guerrilla herself during the 60s, yet, historically-wise, she is the best president we had). Hopefully, it will pass. They are also voting in giving the city police forces full power like that of the two main forces (PolΓcia Militar and PolΓcia Civil), which would follow soon after with them having right to carry weapons (and, hopefully, not have to buy their own equipment like I did).

Tora044 In reply to KholdMalik [2012-12-06 11:15:01 +0000 UTC]
Yep very much the same here, while states and cities determine gun laws. States with stricter gun laws as a consequence has much more crime. Chicago for example is a city with the strictest gun laws and not surprisingly it's a war zone.
Lots of people in the government are pushing for strict anti-gun laws, including Obama. If that happens there's going to be mass civil disobedience or worse.

KholdMalik In reply to Tora044 [2012-12-06 11:28:28 +0000 UTC]
That is very risky. I find funny that communists in my country are anti-guns, while my russian uncle said they weren't like this in USSR under Lenin (what he rightfully calls "real communism"). He said something like "As part of all being a people's army, they all had guns, so they could train in their free time, hunt and defend the motherland. I can't understand why western left-wing people are against guns, if people kills people".
I collect legal weapons (my fave is the PR-24), but I plan to buy a taser once I get another job XP

Tora044 In reply to KholdMalik [2012-12-06 16:18:48 +0000 UTC]
Very risky indeed, it scares the shit out of me. A lot of people have a, "You'll have to take it from my cold dead hands." attitude regarding confiscation of firearms.
But I never understood that mentality as well. My extremely liberal sister was telling me about a guy in Seattle who went nuts and started shooting people. I asked, "Do you want to ban guns?" and she replied, "I was just telling you what happened! Of course I do!" I told her, "You can set a gun on a table. It's not going to do anything. More people are killed by car accidents than guns. Should we ban cars?" and she just replied, "Well that's different."

Yep, might erupt some confrontations, and it wouldn't be nice (even though I learned most rednecks aren't real good shots after a few beers - no offense XD).
Hahaha, you should have kept pushing "Different how? Explain me. And don't leave the argument, or else it means you ran out of words, which means you ran out of arguments, which automatically means you are either consciously wrong or too ignorant to even stand by your point of view " Hehehehe XD
Brazil is not actually most jungle - it's more around north region and some patches down south east here. Most is mid-urbanized or rural districts. North-east is desertic (and not the pretty, sandy kind, but cracked ground and dead trees), extreme south is european-like and where I lived, was heavily urbanized. It almost touches Equador and the extreme south, after all XD

Hehehe well it depends on the person, there's some excellent marksmen among gun enthusiasts even if they're not hunters, and Texas is a state chocked full of hunters. I'm a northerner but I love living in Texas. XD
A sign that things aren't going well in the US though is the fact that 20 states signed petitions to secede, Texas being the first (it's the only state that has that right officially.) but not surprisingly it's mostly states in the south, with a few surprises like Oregon and New York which are heavily liberal states.
π: 0 β©: 1
KholdMalik In reply to Tora044 [2012-12-06 17:05:09 +0000 UTC]
Hehehehe, I can imagine that XD
Mhm. NY and Oregon might want it more because they think government is too rough, southern states probably because don't want their guns taken away. An US civil war would be REAL bad for you guys, but hopefully, this will be just a handful of pissed off people.
π: 0 β©: 2
Tora044 In reply to KholdMalik [2012-12-06 17:48:12 +0000 UTC]
It's mostly the south that thinks government is too rough, more the fact that Obama's using the constitution to wipe his ass. XD
But I agree a civil war would be really bad, if the government was smart they would try to do something to avoid it. The only problem is that they're not smart.

KholdMalik In reply to Tora044 [2012-12-06 17:55:26 +0000 UTC]
Well, don't all politicians lately? Truth be told: The vast majority of nowdays politicians (bad AND good) are worse than what the good ones back then had to offer.
Hehe, I came to the conclusion that the problem with governments is not only corruption and being self-centered, but also incompetence. I have seen politicians with good intentions try to pull "miracle" measures that failed horribly because they were simply just too incompetent.

don't you mean a SECOND U.S. Civil war would be real bad?
plus the whole nation is ticked off, Romney won the popular vote which means total population, Obama won the electoria vote which means big cities that rule the state thus helping a presidential candidate win the state
