Aka "Legend of Zelda meets John William Waterhouse".Remember that I once made a sketch of Link and Zelda re-enacting this waterhouse painting of Lancelot and Guinevere?

Well, I was in the mood, so I did it in colour. Disney’s The Sword in the Stone was running in the background while I sketched it, that should tell you. There’s that certain scene in Skyward Sword when Link rescues Zelda which so made me think of this painting. It had to be done, you know? Somehow I always thought Zelda goes well with Arthurian legend parodies. That started long ago when I played Ocarina of Time and my dad commented on little Link pulling out the master sword with the words (and I quote): „Are you king of England now?“.
Anywayyy, so since I‘m still in the mood, I might finally do one or two Arthurian comic pages before this year is over. We’ll see.
It doesn’t look like Waterhouse at all, but at least I bothered adopting my style a little bit to his. You wouldn’t believe how much fun I had with their ridiculously adopted hair.
100% watercolour.

It's very pretty, I love the colours and details !! Btw, it's not a Waterhouse painting but a painting by Edmund Blair. Moreover it does not represent Guinevere and Lancelot but Aliénor d'Aquitaine and Richard Coeur de Lion if I do not mistake ^^

But I seriously haven't seen many realistic fan art pieces of the Zelda games... Link always has got some features from the games which aren't very realistic. And you're welcome. ^^

Ich weiß nicht ob ich das aus lizenzrechtlichen Gründen dürfte, aber "unter der Hand" ließe sich bestimmt was machen… ich wollte irgendwann eh mal einen kleinen, privaten "Printshop" eröffnen

Eben. Aber ich denke, solange ich damit nicht hausieren gehe und die eventuellen Käufer es nicht an die große Glocke hängen, ist es ok. Prinzipiell werden ja oft Drucke von Fanart verkauft.

Ich will dir auf keinen Fall unannehmlichkeiten bereiten. Wenn du dich nicht wohl damit fühlst das Bild als Orignalgröße zu mailen, wäre ich auch damit einverstanden dir das Poster einfach so abzukaufen. Inklusive Arbeitsaufwandsbonus! Immerhin hattes du ja dann Stress damit

Den Stress hat mein Vater, der muss alles für mich drucken weil ich keinen entsprechenden Drucker habe. Und dann wandert das alles quer durch Deutschland.
Das größte, was er drucken könnte, wäre 42cm hoch (das ist tatsächlich größer als das Originalbild, das ist ja auch nur A4). Falls das zu klein ist, würde ich dir halt doch die Datei zum selber drucken lassen zukommen lassen, so viel Vertrauen würde ich dir dann einfach mal schenken. Ich vertraue dann einfach gutgläubig darauf, dass unter Künstlern nichts veruntreut wird

Also: ich verspreche dir dass ich das Bild wirklich nur brauche um mir davon ein poster drucken zu lassen 
Das Angebot es zu drucken ist furchtbar lieb, aber ich werde mal versuchen es wirklich GROß zu ziehen..so A3 mindestens.
Ich habe keinen Termin an dem ich das Bild brauche, es wäre nur eine "weil-ich-dich-so liebe-Überraschung"

Zur Not scan ich’s nochmal größer (ich scan immer bei 300dpi), aber ich glaub der Scanner kann noch höhere Auflösung (ob das dann wirklich besser aussieht, wird sich dann zeigen).
