Description
So yeah one of the things I did since I've been gone was watched Moana (twice) and I did cave in and draw my own humanized version of this character (he was awesome, how could I not?) though he is going to get an update on his design the next time he shows up.I actually gave my version a specialized version of something called ectrodactyly (Hence the odd hand design. Take a guess as to why.) and I took inspiration from both the character's actual design and that of his voice actor Jemaine Clements (which is why he has side burns).

I don't know how they'll glitter Moana up for the merch but you know they will find a way... if they can glitter up pocahontas and mulan, ain't nothing beyond the glitter's reach.

I like the hands. I started reading the fanfic, and I think that the hands are a cool detail. Kind of like a give away in his human disguise.

I don't know if his hands would be a giveaway. If you are imagining this incarnation for the fan fic, there's going to be other clues, like his eyes, teeth, and certain accessories that no human would normally have back then. I want to add one more thing but I don't want to spoil it.
But yeah, I liked giving him that condition since it adds to his appeal.

I love your take on him. I actually gave my human version ectrodactyly as well-- (although mine has four fingers) which I think fits so darn well for him. Also, that last panel with him wanting to glitz up Moana like the other Disney princesses made me laugh so hard. I'm sure he'd be great at it.

I wanted to give him theta condition because I thought it would be interesting. Plus his hands could be more crab like though the end result almost made them a little too close to the Penguin's hands from Batman Returns.
I think he's aware of how important it is for Moana to not get an outfit that ruins her heritage but…. yeah, he would be up for giving her one of those dresses with a lot of jewels attached to Except maybe a bunch of pearls and gold flecks considering that I don't think you can find that many gemstones in Oceania.

Yeah, the lobster claw syndrome (another name for it) is a genius touch. I like the idea of Tamatoa giving all the Disney princesses makeovers.
