I'm sorry for such a long rest.I am seriously swamped between work and some personal project(s) of mine...
When I make a come back, I think I will have some news that will make some of you very happy... (hopefully...) as well as some juicy fanarts.
I found this sketch of Molly Star Racer (is it called Oban the star racer now?) I did back in 2004.
I think they had a pitch MV done in early 2000. It was really neat and one of the best cel shaded 3D work I've seen. So, I am really happy for Sav! the World Production guys.
What a surprise for Disney to pick up this title though... around 2000, when I was doing pitch stuff for Disney, they were not interested in any "anime" kinda shows.

I've seen the show and I'm a big fan of it, it's playing on Toon Disney's Jetix block on late evenings on Saturday and Sunday which is bad for me since I have to work early hours on those days.
It's an awesome show though I wish there was a sequal (maybe on Nourasia... but that's my inner fan speaking). Great show, great characters, great music... Too bad Disney's putting Yin Yang Yo on halff the time. I hate that show.
Anyways I love this version, and the stylization of the tatoo on her face as well as the clothing.

Definetely like this better than the actual show. The show has a neat style and looks great, but the story is corny and way too predictive at times.

I liked the style of the pilot MV.
I think it was edgier.
TV version definitely feels more watered down.

Oban Star Racers. It hasn't really played on TV recently, as far as I know, and I really loved that series! It's so interesting, with such great characters and a good score, and a nice simplistic art style.

No idea. Probably replaced by a "better" show. It was on Channel 137, ABC Family (on Bright House Network cable).

Hm... I was hoping the show would do as well as Avatar...
But, I never saw Disney promoting the show much... Probably wanted to cash in on the whole anime buzz... but, was too stingy to give it a good time slot or do a decent advertising.

Yeah? I agree. I think DBZ is the reason why a lot of Americans hate anime. They don't understand that 99% of anime isn't like that. And Naruto... I think its following DBZ. The American version annoys the crap out of me, but I can stand the Japanese one with subs....
Anywho, I've been getting into a few new shows after discovering the beauty of this site. [link]
FLCL and Paranoia Agent have me hooked. Also trying to watch a lot of Cowboy Bebop.
