Description
The world tree for the cosmology of Rhune: Dawn of Twilight. I've gone into more detail on my blog about the process, and with close ups on the individual world gates: [link]The background in this uses some of the photos by the Hubble space telescope that are in the public domain: [link]

Thanks - it was a really unusual map to be challenged with - I was relieved when it worked out!

beautifully worked, and the rings circling the roots and upper trunk just add to the picture.

I like the seeming simplicity of this cosmology map (you make it look easy! ), and some of the details in particular, such as the cogs around the gates and the rings around the trees.

Thanks a lot. The simplicity actually made this one quite tricky. On many maps you get a sense of the piece through layers of details - but on this one there's so much empty space. I'm pleased with how it turned out - especially the world gates.

I adore this. I'd offer some sort of constructive comment, but I cant think of one. Tis awsome though!

That was fun to do - there's actually a texture taken from a photo I took of a real tree and turned into a brush in there. Not sure it really comes through, but helped give a sense of the bark. Thanks for the fave.
