Aleu had been tracking the albino for hours now. Trudging through the thickening snow halfway up a mountain as the blizzard slowly passed through. She continued to push back the thoughts of turning back, and pursued the elusive dire built. Although she was a Prestige Breeder, Aleu figured she would have a good chance. She was good with Tokotas socially, but had never interacted with a wild one. She had only ever seen them from a distance from the little village she lived in. All the while, it was strange not having her companion Titania by her side. Traveling downwind was hard enough even with a mount to keep you company. Aleu's thoughts were shattered suddenly. She turned her blue eyes upward to see the female Toko inching her way up to an old caribou carcass. Aleu could see the eagerness in the icy blue eyes. The big animal licked her lips and stepped forwards with shaky movements. Giving the carcass one last sniff, she drew her tongue across it, and dove into the meat with a throaty growl of pleasure. Aleu's heart lightened a bit, feeling relieved that the Tokota had finally found food to eat. She sat there watching the beautiful animal, until a deep bark echoed just a couple meters away. The dire Toko wrenched her head upwards and backed away, seeing two pairs of eyes glow nearby. Out of the shadows stepped two male Tokotas. Judging by the way they carried themselves, they were a higher rank then her. The gray one raised his tail and curled up his lip, flashing sharp, white teeth. Aleu was surprised to see the albino female back away even further and lower herself to the ground submissively. Despite her size, the female's rank kept her chances of fighting off the two males low. Aleu figured- after seeing the Toko's scars- that her packmates had been rough with her, seeing as she was a submissive animal. The brown male's eyes flashes with victory as he stepped forwards, scooped up the carcass in his jaws, and started off up the mountain. The grey one followed quickly behind, not before giving one last haughty glare to the albino. Aleu watched all of his, her mouth agape and her heart racing. Relief flooded over her seeing as the female she had been tracking got out of the skirmish without any injuries. It seemed as if this girl needed a home...and Aleu felt determained to give that to her.
