Description Look at me, I'm so fancy I even drew the deactivation welds on the drill rifle.

That...is...not... how you shoulder arms!! That is a slope at change arms!

Okay. My inner drill manual is killing me for liking this, but it is pro.

Have you ever done drill with an M16?

But yes, I should have drawn it with the forearm parallel to the deck.

... C7 close enough for you? and shoulder is arm perpendicular to the deck. slope is the forearm parallel to the deck. change arms at slope is what you've drawn (slightly... I'm beginning to wonder if the 201 is not as internationally accepted as we're led to believe)

My apologies - I only read your bio after commenting.

For reference, I'm using this video

In the US, Shoulder Arms is with the forearm parallel to the deck, and you pass through Port Arms on the way to the other shoulder.  There is no Slope Arms, and also no position that involves the rifle at shoulder with the arm perpendicular to the deck.

I looked up the Canadian Forces Manual of Drill and Ceremonial.  Other than having drill and ceremony in the title, it's nothing like the US manual .

So I guess we both learned something today?
