Previous [link] // First [link] // Next: [link]Here's the update that took over 3 weeks to finish! (Really, it did. Mostly because of the backgrounds. XD)
Sorry the coloring is a little rushed, but I really wanted to get this done by the end of this weekend. And the backgrounds aren't all that great either. Plus, I experimented a little with perspective and well⦠it wasn't a complete failure but it wasn't a complete success either. I'll get better at it eventually. ^^
About the comic itself:
I re-read the part where Brendan gave Briss advice but wasn't too happy with it. I realized the advice kind of sucked after I got over the cringing, so I had Kiki be the one to give her advice this time. I figured it would be more effective as well since she can be a bit harsh. So I'm sure she'll keep her in check from now on. C=
And it seems like the nurses in Hoenn have heard about Briss and her team after that poke center incident from a while ago . Sadly, it'll haunt them for a while. ='D
Hmmm⦠I wonder who that suspicious figure on the escalator was? As well as those glowing eyes Nugget was staring at. And why didn't Nugget cry while Briss had her goggles off? More importantly, why aren't any of their pokeballs working? Unfortunately, it'll be a while before these questions are answered because this will be the last update for a while. (There is a journal with an explanation about this here. )

Heeey I've been reading this comic for hours and I absolutely love it!! I spent half of mi childhood playing Pokemon Emerald and I still do that! I'm glad you chose Mudkip as a starter, he's my favourite one

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that! But oh gosh, you're brave for going back to those first few pages. XD I actually picked Mudkip because I had never used him before; since I have a tendency to pick fire-starters most of the time, I decided to pick the water type for once. But thanks to his type combination, he's quickly become one of my favorites as well. C=
As for the next page, I'm still in the sketching process but it's coming along slowly because of my college classes, so I'm guessing it won't be completed until some time in December.

Eerie things are everywhere now! That creepy, hooded figure... Could that be a Winstrate? For a moment, I thought it was a Magma with the red hood, but it isn't a Magma hood. Also, yikes, eerie disembodied eyes! Like the Cheshire cat or something, eeeeep! And will Mighty and Oom ever be released again? Also, interesting Kip's first thought would be to worry about Nugget when he stopped needing Briss to wear goggles. I'd figure he just got used to it, but maybe that was a lucky catch on Kip's part.Β

Yes, I figured I had to show that she really does have a heart somewhere inside of her at one point, so I thought, "Why not here?" And her reaction wasn't what Kiki was expecting at all, but how else can you react to someone who's encouraging you to do better, even if it's in a harsh way? XD
Seems like this update is just oozing with creepiness then. I won't reveal who that hooded figure was just yet though. C= As well as those eyes! I'm glad they reminded you of the Cheshire cat, though! If anyone would notice that, it'd definitely be Kip. Kiki could probably care less about that. XD
