Description
This is the first time ever I drew a disney Villian in this way, so this is my second portrait of Rapunzel this time when she was little and mother Gothel took care of her. This painting is based in the work of Hugues Merle (1832 -1881) when I saw this painting, I saw a very happy and charming Rapunzel, and at some point, I want to believe that Mother Gothel loves her, may be not mother- daugther love, just a different kind of love.I hope you like it guys!!!

Gothel loved Rapunzel the way the Other Mother loved Coraline or the way an addict loves their fix. Whatever maternal instinct she had was over-powered by an ingrained sense of possessiveness.ย

You must've had years and years of practice to paint these pictures. Have you heard of the artist Botticelli? I think you're just as good as he is

I persinally think Gothel must love Rapunzel in some way. True, she manipulates her and keeps her trapped and isolated in that tower, but I just don't think she could have raised Rapunzel as her own daughter and not had any feeling of love towards her.
Anyway, as for the picture, I really like it. It's absolutely amazing. I love the way you've made Rapunzel look like a child compared to Gothel, who looks like an adult. When it comes to drawing children the hardest thing about doing so is making them look like children! And all that shading must have taken forever to do, the creases of the clothes, the waves of hair, everything must have taken such a lot of effort and time! All I can do is salute you for your dedication and envy your skills!

I totally adore the concept ! This is a great picture, the work you've made on the hands is really impressive, as much as the work on the fabric !
I really like the hole "classical paintings" Disney series you've done.

this is very nice! I loved the concept, the scenario and the sensation it passes to us. but i think you should work more on the portraits of the figures, both faces looks strangely odd, while still is "correctly drawn" the appearance isn't correct. you might use references for the face, and if you put some effort in the anatomy and the colors of the face (like the blush that looks very unreal) i bet you could make the whole series more appealing and lovely. You already got a point from all the painting very well done, but the faces is a must in these types of paintings.
i hope you don't mind my opinion, thank you for your time! >_>

thank you so much for taking the time to write this comment, It's very well appreciated. Not everyday you received a criticism, thanks for gave me your point of view, Sure I still work on the faces, anatomy and stuff, I'm not a professional but comments like your always help a little to improve more.
