Uhhh, Yen Sid didnt perform the ceremony on Lea ._. Didn't you see the ending? He summoned his keyblade and even Yen Sid looked shocked. Therefore he didn't do the ceremony.

We were warned early on in interviews by Nomura that there would be twists to the game that we wouldn't expect x3; I had a feeling as soon as he said that, that Sora would not make the mark. However, think of this as good news! It is sad Sora didn't make it, but he didn't seem too beaten up by it - the ending where he was off a lone was a little sad in a way, but it ended on a happy note. I'm sure in KH3 he will make the mark. As far as his life being a lie, it's not a lie. He wasn't intended to go through all the things he is, but because Sora has been thrust into this position and surviving he is strong - this is making him a stronger person. Think of all the other people who are not meant to have keyblades and become wielders? Sora has done much more than they ever could and in the end his power will shine through as a master, I'm sure. Having Lea fight along side of Sora in KH3 is going to be amazing :'D at least I hope they team up a lot. This game has simply been amazing, and it opens a pathway into a lot of character development for Sora C: Nomura won't disappoint us with him, Sora is one of his own personal favorite characters after all (out of all his creations).

As far as I know, Sora recieved Riku's Keyblade due to the weakness in Riku's heart during KHI. That's why Riku was able to take it, but because Sora had a stronger heart ("My friends are my power!") the Keyblade ultimately chose Sora to be its weilder. Riku's Soul Eater eventually turned into his Keyblade.
Ventus' heart doesn't let Sora use a keyblade, but is what let's him use two.
Lea performs the Inheritence Ceremony with Yen Sid to gain a Keyblade, but created one fast than even Yen Sid predicted.

Also, apparently the brown cloaked guy at the beginning of Kingdom Hearts I (the one Sora sees in the cave on Destiny Islands) isn't Ansem Seeker of Darkness, but Young Master Xehanort travelling through the future and past to collect more Xehanorts as a person who sheds away their body can apparently time travel, so somehow Young Master Xehanort shed away his body to travel through time and collect other Xehanorts before somehow managing to return to his body to eventually grow up to be the old Master Xehanort from Birth by Sleep.
Also, Organization XIII members apparently actually have hearts, so Demyx was right in Kingdom Hearts II when he told Sora he does in fact have a heart. Apparently, Nobodies can regrow them.

No, they can regrow hearts WHILE they are Nobodies. As in, new hearts, not their old ones. When Axel died for instance, he said it made him feel like he had heart. It wasn't that he FELT like he had a heart, he DID have a heart.

Yup, and apparently anyone that has yellow eyes of Xehanort are actually possessed by him (i.e. Xigbar/Braig and Saix/Isa).
