Template by PerfectZanderSanchezSo, like I said, I won't be here this weekend because I will be at a life training program in Connecticut. So, it's best to give you my introduction/opinions on some anime you don't know or might know yet.
#6 - Pop Team Epic (Negative ControChoices): I keep seeing things based off this show. And all of those people are saying "You should watch this! It's very funny and popular!" No. The way I see it, it's essentially what the animators drew in middle school and have dug up and put this together to form... crap. And that is why I will NEVER get the hang of Popuko and Pipimi of Pop Team Epic. If you beg to differ, hate away!
#5 - Kantai Collection (Ani-meh): You know what the sad thing is about 13-episode anime series? It ends suddenly and you want more of it. I mean come on, My Hero Academia did it. Space Dandy did it. One Punch Man is soon to do it. But... Kantai Collection I sorta wish coulda had more potential. Set in a world where humanity has lost control of the oceans to the "deep sea fleet," the only hope to counter this threat are the Kanmusu, a group of girls who possess the spirit of Japanese warships. The story revolves around Fubuki, a destroyer who comes to the Chinjufu base to train with other Kanmusu. Watch as their stories unfold! Yeah, I think they used the term "Story" loosely and just cut it off there. And it was a slice of life anime, so you know how it unfolded. At least the intro song is good: www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmHPtZ…
#4 - Durarara!! (Anime Unknown): Unless you are willing to watch it's sequel "Durarara!! X2", I recommend starting with this to get known with this series. This is probably another great by the truly underrated Dengeki Bunko company. Storyline: In Tokyo's downtown district of Ikebukuro, amidst many strange rumors and warnings of anonymous gangs and dangerous occupants, one urban legend stands out above the rest - the existence of a headless motorcyclist who drives through the streets. Ryuugamine Mikado has always longed for the excitement of the city life, and an invitation from a childhood friend convinces him to move to Tokyo. Witnessing the Black Rider on his first day in the city, his wishes already seem to have been granted. But as supernatural events begin to occur, ordinary citizens like himself, along with Ikebukuro's most colorful inhabitants, are mixed up in the commotion breaking out in their city. Even if you haven't heard of him, one of the characters, Shizuo Heiwajima, is in Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax - made by the same folks who did Under Night in-Birth. And the intro theme is so badass: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bfb0lP…
#3 - GetBackers (Anime Unknown): Okay, listen to it's first intro: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0doHRb…
You can tell it's a bit soft for a "supernatural action series". I know you might get sick of that song... UNTIL THE BADASS SECOND INTRO SONG!: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsywP1…
This is nothing new. This was made in 2004 and it is one of the gems still in the mine that is quality. Here's the plot: Ban Mido and Ginji Amano are known as the Get Backers, retrievers with a success rate of 100%. Whatever is lost or stolen, they can definitely get it back. Despite their powerful abilities and enthusiastic behavior, Ban and Ginji are terminally broke no matter what they do simply because little people would actually desire to hire them. As a result, the pair of them tend to do dangerous jobs, often leading to unwanted re-encounters with their old (and dangerous) friends. So, it's like as mentioned Pop Team Epic, but it's done right and is the predecessor by more than a decade. 49 episodes of supernatural goodness is waiting for you!
#2 - Shugo Chara (Anime Unknown): Romance Shoujo are considered... you know. But romance Shoujo with magic... now we are talking! Sure, it has no interesting battle scenes, but it makes up for it. To quote the intro before the intro song: "All kids hold an egg in their soul... the egg of our hearts... our would be selves... yet unseen." Amu Hinamori is a student at Seiyo Elementary, where she has a reputation for being "cool and spicy"; however, her real personality is that of an extremely shy and easily intimidated girl. One night Amu makes a wish that she would have the courage to be reborn as her "would-be" self. The next morning Amu finds three brightly colored eggs (red, blue, and green) in her bed. Each egg eventually hatches into a Guardian Character: Ran, Miki, and Su. Guardian Characters are angel-like beings that aid a person into becoming their "would-be" selves and fulfill the person's dreams. The Guardian Characters accomplish this by giving encouragement and advice, but they can also temporarily change a person's personality and abilities. With the Guardian Characters, Amu's life becomes much more complex as she now struggles to deal with her new personalities and the Seiyo Elementary Guardians (a student council group where each member has their own Guardian Character) who recruits Amu to search for and seal the X eggs and X Characters, corrupted forms of people's dreams. It sure is interesting and is worth your time and 51 episodes to back it. Unless you go for the sequel "Shugo Chara Doki".
#1 - Katekyo Hitman Reborn (Anime Unknown): Okay, it was known back then, but probably not known now. Maybe that's because the anime buffs were hyped on One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach. Long stuff like that. This is a long one like those, with 203 episodes, sure. But I recommend Reborn as a change of pace away from the popular stuff. Think of it as "the second banana to GinTama". As the story goes: Nowadays, the mafia is ruled by Italy's strongest family, the Vongola. Vongola's current head, ninth in the row, is an old man ready for retirement. But before he can hand down his position, he needs help from a professional Hitman to prepare the next generation Boss for ruling over Vongola and mafia world itself. Sawada Tsunayoshi is just your ordinary teenage boy who attends Junior High and sucks at it. He is unpopular, has no friends and is desperately in love with a girl from his class. But his life takes an extraordinary turn when Tsunayoshi meets Reborn, an infamous hitman, who has been sent by ninth boss of Vongola to train Tsunayoshi for his upcoming title. And guess what! Reborn looks like a baby who is a lot more badass than he looks! Sure, the goofy mafia garb is alluding, but what makes Reborn interesting is that he often fires a bullet in Tsuna's forehead, which makes him "desperate and to fight with his dying will". It's like Eyeshield 21, but without all the football! And my final note, if you want to watch an over-100 episode anime, but don't want to watch One Piece, Naruto, Bleach, or Dragon Ball Z... Reborn is for you!

I've never heard of Hitman Reborn (until Nathan Sharp did a cover of the 3rd OP), but knowing what it is, I've GOT to check it out!

Looking for a dub? Too bad. It's sub only.
