This was done at age 13, along with everything behind it, unless the description says different.

Gave her kimono a bow in the back, and I shortened the hair. I also did a tidbit of work elsewhere..... Betcha' can't see what two things I worked on! XD

Remember that hideous picture of 'Aiko and the Moth'? Well, this is my new design for Aiko! As you see, I've gotten better at kimonos~ XD;
I'm actually kind of amazed at how I just whipped this up! Normally pieces like this will take days! One, because I tend to give up and set it aside, and two, because the sketches are so scrappy that I get caught up in it and don't know where to go for the final lineart. But apparently I've improved greatly! *triumph*

Heh, the pattern was a bit difficult to do.... I didn't really know where to go with it, so I just decided to make some flower n' fan brushes and mess around with 'em > u <

Well, actually I made the bottom of the kimono a bit less huge, and I shortened one of the petals on her flower clip so that it looked more circular and evenly lengthed

Well, Aiko is pretty mysterious! Actually, ever since she meets Moth, she starts becoming more and more secretive and her disposition appears almost dark. It really worries her parents XD;

I really like this!! I love the kimono, and how pretty all the colors are together. Very Japanese-y.
May I give a bit of critique? Not much and not meanly of course. (Sorry if it does sound like it's mean. Hit me if it does, or if you didn't want it.. I don't usually like giving it...)
Her eye seems a little bit too close to the edge of her face, maybe pull it back just a little? Or.. it seems a little too wide maybe? I'm not sure which one of those it really is, but I think pulling it back from the edge a little bit would work fine.
(Sorry about that.. Really.. 
Anyway, I really like this picture. I think it looks great. ^^ I just love the Japanese/Asian stuff.

Actually, the white of the eye was actually supposed to be where the darkest part of the iris is, but somehow it got messed up and part of the skin turned into the eye XD;
But 'tsokay > v < Now, if you had critisized something about the kimono, I might've gotten upset, just because I'm not that good at them and I'm already actually pretty upset D:
But anyway! Thanks! I hope you like it even more after I edit it a smidgeon ;D

Sure, it takes a bit of getting used to because you can't see exactly where you're placing the cursor on the screen with the stylus, but I got used to it!
