Description
Mimics are a sorely underused monster type in my opinion. So I made one currently tied to a short-story idea called “Food Truck” (which is currently being considered on being folded into the Strange-verse).
This mimic’s “name” is Carmen and she disguises herself as an innocuous food truck that sells smoothies. I imagine this unique cover would have been adopted after the explosion of the trendy food-truck craze that swept across the U.S.
Don’t let her looks or customer service skills fool you. If you’re all alone getting served by her, and there’s no-one else in sight, your gonna end up getting served TO her.

Shapeshifting's an old art, dood.... so many monsters utilize it, not just Mimics. There's some reason or other most of the time: maybe the shapeshifter is a science experiment gone wrong or some kind of ancient alien that took the shape of some pagan deity to rule over the primitive people of that day.
I like the ice cream truck approach though.

Secretions of hers that are similar to saliva/mucus for us. Cept she's evolved for it to taste delicious to us and it's got the same temperature and consistency. You'd never know the difference unless someone told ya.

I think so too, food trucks haven't really been anywhere near me. My town had a food truck park once (still has it I think, they upgraded a little)
