Dipper stared at him, though his expression was a mesh between shock and awe at the other's offer. It was unlike him, out of character even, given their interactions thus far. Rick was the definition of an utter jerk and Dipper found this shred of what seemed to be some kind of kindness unbelievable in that regard. He didn't believe that Grunkle Ford used to hang around with this guy until this moment.

Rick seemed in denial of that kindness himself, looking away as if he had a reputation to uphold. But he'd clearly thought over his treatment of his friend's grandnephew, and done so plenty.

Crossover pic of some of my favourite nerds! Based on my crossover comic I've been planning, eeeee. Basically Dipper is unimpressed with Rick after their little adventure, and Rick acknowledges all the cool stuff Dipper did when he's in a mood with him in the space ship. So he takes him for the universe's second-class ice cream (because the spider dimension effectively ruined that), gives him his hat and journal back, and basically tells him he's not surprised and sometimes that Ford wanted to kill him too. It's the time Rick realizes he sort of respects Dipper enough to give him chance to use the portal gun.

It's been a while since I've done a big piece with a background so I'm really proud of it, honestly. ;v;
