Goodbye may seem forever,
farewell is like the end.
But in my heart's a memory,
and there you'll always be.

Marrok brought up the rear of small band of wolves that had decided to leave their home for the greater good of the pack. As they passed a large moss covered boulder that marked the east border he paused. How often had he walked past this rock without hesitation? He'd always known that the sight of it would welcome him back home from whatever duty lead him outside the territory.
He fought with himself not to turn and look back, but ultimately it was a fight he lost. The brown wolf swiveled his head to gaze back into the terrain that was so familiar to him. It would be the last time he walked this path, weaved through these trees or passed this boulder.
He was leaving - and this time he would not be returning.

Summary: Set in Marroks past, on the day he leaves his birth pack. Despite his appearingly cold exterior he mourns the loss of his home and his family, knowing he will most likely never see any of them again. He spares a glance back towards his home, taking a moment to contemplate his decision and appreciate the last time he would be within his birth packs borders.

Tried some new texture methods. It was especially fun to do when I realized I had saved the .PSD without any layers, and had to work overtop of what I had done already.
