Edit: For the FOURTH time in a row, I have made EQD! WOOO~!I think Daydream just came up with "Game of Thrones."
YES, YES, I KNOW! After a good... what... 9 months of wait time, I FINALLY upload? blah. Sorry it took so long, everypony. Moving into a new apartment, getting a new job, putting in print... A lot going on in my life. But not that I'm complaining
Right! I have absolutely NO idea when #4 will be done... but as it stands right now, basically keep an eye out for it, but don't hold your breath >>;

Well, where should I start? The art is extremely good, I feel it's from the television series. The whole idea is interesting- adding a new 'element set'. The character development is something that stood out for me, as it is one of the things few comics have. There are only two things that annoys me, the first thing is about this is Daydream's personality, it just seems to 'over the top' for me. The second thing would be the chess opponent, if you were planning to give him an element (If you were of course) then more screen time would be necessary . Anyway, I can't await a new strip to come up!

Sadly, I haven't kept with ponies in a long time. Plus when I was working on these, the continuity changed so much I realized I couldn't keep up with it.

FIB has taken a back seat to other projects. Currently, my priorities are shooting for a television writer's fellowship, and working on my original webcomic.

How many pages was/is this comic going to be? Is this an original story of yours? Would you be willing to give someone a script of some kind so they could make the rest of the comic for you? Not me though, I can't draw that well. If so, that would be amazing! I really do like the idea this comic has. I'd just like for it to, you know, move along.

The short version is I don't have time for it anymore. I may get to it in the future but it's low on my list of priorities.
The long version is I'm doing a weekly webcomic, as well as a 30+ job that I hate, and dealing with my own mother losing her mind - I mean legitimately losing her mind. Medication, doctor visits, can't sleep, the whole package. On top of that, I've been trying to find a different source of employment so I don't have to wake up and go to a place that treats me like a unit. If I'm lucky, I can get in an hour or two of video games if only to let my mind relax for a brief moment. So I'm sorry that this free comic of this idea that I had about a year ago hasn't been updated. Really, I am. But right now? It's just not in the cards.
I'm sorry I'm snappish. There's just so much shit on my plate right now I can't even see the china.

Though it has been several months since you responded to my post I would like to apologies if my question offended/angered you in any way. I often forget that those of you who create such fun and creative content have real life situations that they must deal with. And I'd also like to apologies for basically asking the same question twice. See I had actually forgotten about my previous comment and did not remember it until after I had posted the new one. Anyway, I'm don't know if any of the problems you are dealing with have changed for the better or the worse, so I can only hope and pray that things are turning up for you!

And as a nice contrast, Lilac is the Twilight.
Yet, Lilac's element, Curiosity, is the sister to Pinkie's element, and Daydream's element, which is obviously Imagination, is the sister to Twilight's element...

I have a few questions. One, will we ever see a new page? Two, is there a written copy of this story that everypony could possibly read while we wait for the next update? And third, why gay pirates? I support gay rights and all, but I'm kinda wondering how you came up with the idea. I haven't read it yet, but I'm sure it's as imaginative as this comic is/was.

1) Yes. Just... very, very slowly. This is a vanity project for me, and I'm sad to say it takes low priority to many other things I have on my plate.
2) Unfortunately, no. I haven't even written a script. It's all in my head. I'm a funny little creature like that. Another reason this project is very back-burner for me.
3) The pirate comic actually goes farther back than this does. It was a story I wrote with a friend of mine over the internet. It turned out so good, and I was so taken by her character designs that I begged her to turn it into a web comic. As of this point, we're starting Issue 3 and gaining traction both online and through conventions. IE: I take it far more seriously than I do MLP:FIB
Honestly, I had no idea this comic would get the support that it did. It was a curious idea in my brain that I decided to play around with and will continue to do so. However, this comic was done mostly for the sake of myself. Therefore, as much as I am humbled by those who love what I've done, I cannot force myself to draw it on a rigid schedule. It's just the way I am. I'm sorry for the long wait I've put all of you through, just know that I will in fact get it done eventually.

it's not abandoned, I just have a lot going on in my life right now. I moved, I'm waiting for a letter from my dream school, I was unemployed for a month, now I'm working long hours again, and on top of that I'm still keeping up with a project that has a bigger priority, which is my webcomic. I know that in between this and the last part there was a good six month gap between uploads. It's just how my mind operates.

Anyway great comic. I just found it on EQD and I really like the look of it so far. The character introductions are going well and they remind me of how the characters were introduced with their elements in the first episode. I'll be watching for the next update!
