It's the most I could do to express what I thought your deviation represented without hurting your feelings. I would never hurt anyone's feelings and I'm sure rarity will stop chasing after what she doesn't and/or can't have (like to marry a High Society stallion or a royal) in favor for what she already DOES have (like her friends, her job in Ponyville and especially Spike).

I also heard that despite being anti-Sparity you're pro-Sonamy.
People have accused Sonamy of being pedophelia much like the same was done for Sparity. Amy Rose is 12 years old officially while Sonic is 15.Β
Don't get me wrong but I love Sonamy. I even dedicated my name to them. I just want to find out that you're not a hypocrite. I'm not even offended by your statement MKSfan14. The MLP comics made Sparity canon and my headcanon comprises of events from both the show and these comics.

Yes, I am pro-SonAmy (good to see another shipper)Β and do remember the characters' confirmed ages (sometimes I'd imagine Amy a year or two older). However, I wouldn't say the two ships are pedophilia because they don't involve a matter that I won't speak of. The friend zone is silly and made up. Spike is a child so Rarity of course wouldn't go with him but sees him as a dear friend. I don't know why dudes whine about being friends with their love interest like it's hell and that the girl is SO AWFUL for it. I mean it's not HER fault that she doesn't like him. I'm a lesbian and I was in love with my friend for a year until we got together, but it took so long to confess because I didn't want to hurt her or screw up our Β friendship because her feelings were just as important as mine. So spike isn't in this so called "friendzone" he just has a dumb crush on an older pony and takes Rarity's meanings of friendship a little too far. He might do anything to please her but that's not Rarity's fault. He'd probably be more upset if she told him his help wasn't needed. uvu;

Ah yes. The delusion that Spike is just a child, based on his young appearance and the fact that he's a "baby dragon", despite the fact that Twilight was only a filly when she hatched him, amongst other reasons regarding how dragons grow/age that I and other fans have given before.
Tell you what. If you're some expert on how dragons grow/age and/or have some sort of inside knowledge as to what the official ages are, then by all means, do get back to me and let me know. I'm not claiming to be an expert on how dragons grow/age either, but I've read some stuff about it that could potentially make him older than he looks. And no, I don't mind explaining if you want, so you don't think I'm making an empty claim. Otherwise, just accept the fact that it's not for you and let us like what we want. K? Kthx.

Just because you call someone a baby doesn't mean they are one. Some people call their younger sibling baby brother or baby sister long after they're babies. Plus, like I said, being a baby in dragon years doesn't make him one in physical years. In physical years, he acts mostly like a pre-teen or young teenage boy, and has a good deal of responsibilities and has taken on some pretty big challenges overall.

Well taking "baby" out of context doesn't need to refer to age, but the way he is referred to as one is about his age. Although I'm not really passionate on the matter so no need to get so logical with it. You can have your theories but all I see it is the same old "young boy as a crush on an older girl he'll never get because of obvious reasons" trope. It's popular because it's for humor reasons. It's not really about his age necessarily. I've read that dragons can still be called a "baby dragon" based on minor things like physical appearance and/or lack of wings. The way I see it, he is younger than her, but only by a few years. And it could be more than a theory, given that no one knows for sure how dragons grow/age, except for some stuff I read on it, which could be theory too, including in this particular show. So basically, either side of the argument, both mine and yours, are both just theories. So with all that's been said, yes I will ship it.

My thoughts on the ship are neutral at best, though I cannot quiet see the logic in it. Spike is just WAY too young to understand all the workings of love. He certainly has a crush on Rarity, but he is still a baby dragon. Remember that. Baby Dragon. She is what? 20 in human years? Far too old, no matter what your thoughts on things.
I certainly don't think she would just dash his feelings like that. But I do think Rarity would let him down gently. After all, we have seen that Rarity has had romantic thoughts for other ponies.
I just don't see how the ship works by my own logic. But those just my thoughts.

I kinda hope they get something like this over with in S5. Not in the kinda harsh context this shows but in a nice way. What I mean is I know Rarity cares for spike but at the end of the day I think it only goes as far as that nice kid brother that your friend brings along.Hes kinda the group's fun and helpful cute little bro. I can picture it as either spike's obsession with her gets a bit of an uncomfortable level for her or she finally gets a steady boyfriend who unlike with Trenderhoof and prince blueblood,she likes them beyond their looks and fame. Spike realizing this tries to ruin things. Β Rarity eventually sits spike down and tells him just how much he means to her as a friend but that's as far her feelings go.
A few episodes after though we can get introduced to some pretty dragoness who will help him move on.
Like flash for Twilight she'll get some hate for existing from the fandom but people will get over it eventually or just make fics where shes secretly evil or killed by a random train. They'll cope either way.

They've been making call back a lot lately I mean and they did actually have a few friendly female dragons in the franchise. We've never even seen what a female dragon looks like in this version or how spike would react to seeing one so theres no real ruling out anything yet till it happens.
