Description
Everyone has their own concept of Mother Nature. I portray nature and our ecosystem as a woman that we can directly relate to and understand her expressions. She is also symbolic of all humanity and its power over nature, but ultimately, WE are nature.I have exposed the fragility and the grief our Mother Nature endures.
Painting is my method to express myself; this painting is my individual contribution to raise awareness in the fight against global warming and towards a more sustainable future.
Ink, gesso and oil on wood. The figure is of myself.

Thanks Mark! I'm really happy with this painting, my first attempt in oils. I put in a lot of aspects I think are really 'me'. The figure, the tree, the colour and the dark twist to it all.
