Description Sarlasa, also known as Sarly, is one of the most primary female villainous original character(OC) that I created. Her concept was originated to be that of "an evil, dark, scary woman". She is a roughly 6-foot tall, dark, feminine figure with spindly, clawed hands and feet, garbed entirely in a shredded, black gown, having extremely long, prehensile "hair" that is covered in prickly, sharp thorns, yellow, inhumane eyes, and having a splotched, painted, blood-red face.

Sarlasa is a malignant, evil queen entity of a clearly unknown origin, coming from a dark void of a world unknown to man, although it is hinted that she has a "father" figure of some sort. Sarlasa has painted her face with a type of enchanted blood, to express the rage of her seething madness and deception that fills her. It is not exactly known as to why she has done this, but it is possibly due to her being hated and scorned for being the creature that she is. She finds her hobbies by finding her victims; usually being males, and tormenting them, usually by scare tactics or by physical torture. As a masochistic fiend, Sarly loves to taste the feelings of pain and hurt, as they give her the twisted pleasure of physical harm. Her biggest liked interest however, is betrayal. Sarlasa loves nothing more than to break the trust and promises of someone or something that she has earned the trust of, or bonded with. She considers doing this as her twisted, devious oppositional way of showing "her love" towards things and people. Whether it be leaving the victim scarred for life, or dying by her hands, it gives her all the satisfaction of both betraying, and causing pain.

As an inhuman, otherworldly creature, Sarlasa has many supernatural powers and abilities. Being under the title of "the Sinister Shapeshifter", she is able to at the very least, morph into things that she has seen with her eyes or touched before, by using her specialized flesh fashioned from a certain type of darkness. This is limited however, as she cannot take the form of beings that are too complex, or simply have incompatible abilities to her own. However, when she is able to successfully copy another being, Sarlasa can use the basic abilities of the other life form and even utilize her own versions of their certain abilities. In combat, this makes her an incredibly formidable adversary, as when she shapeshifts, her flesh becomes a black, shadowy mist that is almost entirely incapable of being harmed. Although her thorn-covered hair tendrils are able to slice and cut most targets up, they can also craft themselves into "organic" versions of actual weapons made from her specialized, shape-shifting flesh, giving her an armed edge. Sarlasa possesses a very deadly ability to "devour" an adversary, and completely expel them violently from her body, or, if at all possible, absorb them into her flesh, although very risky for her being.

Even though she is a deadly and powerful adversary, Sarlasa has weaknesses just as anything. While her specialized shape-shifting flesh can regenerate and take large amounts of damage, it can only take so much of being repeatedly pelted with certain attacks, such as dismembering a limb. Her most obvious weak point is her painted face, as it is covered with a vulnerable, enchanted blood. This acts as an Achille's Heel, as if hit or stabbed in nearly any region of her face, she will be in large amounts of actual physical pain, and takes little enjoyment of it. As she is only able to shape-shift into certain, compatible things, she is not able to morph into mechanical things, or non-living, inorganic beings. As with all supernatural entities, certain powers and magics can repel her presence and attire. If Sarlasa should be killed, she will die just as any mortal, but her spiritual essence will immediately flee her body, and seek out a possible way to be reborn, once again.

Sarlasa is based on, and bears similarities to a handful of antagonists and villains in various media, such as Disney's Maleficent, Aku from Samurai Jack, the Lipstick-Faced Demon from Insidious, and the Queen of the Black Puddle from the television series Courage the Cowardly Dog. Everyone has heard the phrase "all women are evil", and some believe it to be true, as I do not. My intention with her character was to create a truly evil, backstabbing female who will stop at nothing until she gets the satisfaction of hurting her victim, and seeing them destroyed. Her persona also serves a purpose to counter the habit of over-sexualizing female characters, as romantic or sexual activity with Sarlasa, can be a HUGE mistake, for she will hideously shape-shift and dismember her deluded victim. With her vile and sinister nature, Sarlasa will make the phrase "all women are evil" turn on a dime.
