Description
Ah, good ol' Tria Marker #454T. I just wanted to see if i could get good tones using only one marker, and a very light one at that. Ehh...i dunno how well it works, but i like how it came out regardless of the tones It was fun to do because i love the monotony of layering markers over and over and over! It's really very therapeutic! So turn-of-the-century, southern melodrama was the mood of the day!
I really want to do somthing else like this in the near future. I'm currently planning somthing very ambitious, but i don't know if it will ever solidify....i guess we'll see.

I really like the colors you choose, it has an aged feel to it, and the mood is quite surreal

Amazing... the monochrome effect works really well. I love the crows in the background, and the girl's sad, thoughtful expression.

I love it!
It evokes feelings of melancholia. It reminds me of a cold Winter dusk in Oklahoma. There's an element of darkness, too.
This may not've been your intent.
Were I to make an animated film of an Edgar Allen Poe story - I'd want you doing character designs. There's a very morose feel to the work. Which I love.

Hee hee! that's great to know! well, if you ever were to animate an Edgar Allen Poe story, i'd love to do the character designs ^^ (that's one of the best compliments i've ever received, by the way!)

This is a nice piece. With the color and mood of the piece, it reminds me of Viola from a sieries of unfortunate events.
Yes...I'm a nerd.

Like everyone else says...Amazing coloring, I could see it being quite soothing to use one marker, removes the hectic from coloring
Besides that, cuteness!

Very lovely picture... Her posture is a bit forced with the hand up, I think that the arm lying lightly across the skirt would have looked more natural. The line art is very pretty, and the effect of the marker on the sky is stunning... you have a lot of patience! It really gives that "rain cloud" effect, you can almost smell the storm.

XD he he, yeah your right about the arm! I can't draw hands whatsoever, so they always end up looking very forced (and the arms attatched to them...)...hmmmmm...maybe i need to practice them more!
Yay! I'm glad you like it anyway though!

This is really nice, too!! I wish I knew how to use markers as well as you do. Her expression and the colors match nicely -- so somber. And I love the sketchiness of the black crows. They just add to the sense of dryness and melancholy. Nice job!
