Description A trio of Stevens 4-6-0s sitting on the Kickstarter County route in T:ANE. I definitely want to mess with my shaders, but that's a good start...

Did walscherts valve gear really exist in the 1860s?

The Walschaerts valve gear was developed in 1844, and first used in 1873 (in Austria). The Mason Machine Works adopted it in 1874 on its Mason Bogies, largely using it until 1887(as I recall) when it stopped building locomotives, and A. J. Stevens of the Central Pacific (the builder of these locomotives) first worked with Walschaerts gear on his MastodonΒ and El GobernadorΒ in 1882, only employing the combination arm at first to drive his double slide valves, then expanding a revised design in 1884 on his 4-4-0s and 4-6-0s to use the return crank/rod system (although he still used a traditional lifting reverse linkage and rocking arm instead of Walschaerts' expansion link).

I wouldn't suggest TANE for getting rid of content errors; there's several more there. I haven't got many more assets with faults, but I tend to be lucky with br0ken assets.

I see. One of the reasons I've consideted it was because of the greater depth of feild. You can get some increadable vistas in T:ANE, which would do my UV&P route justice.

Yes, the 15km draw distance is awesome, and in theory you can set it in B&W or sepia! That and some custom shaders are amazing...

That's one of the reasons why I'm considering upgrading anyway. My UV&P route would get a totally new feel when you can see the distant mountains and valleys of the Arizona desert.
