Reminds me of Dan from Game Grump's story of how "The Talk" went with his dad.
[Riding down familiar road, listening to music in silence . Dan's dad suddenly turns music down.]
"Eh, Dan. Eehhh, do you know about, eehhh, sex?"
"Yeah. Yeah I know."
"Okay."
[End. Turns music back up. Never talked about it again.]

Sex ed was standard when I was in school; pretty sure we had our first sex ed session in Grade 5. Which was elementary school, but it started with the basics, really.
A few more sessions were had in middle school, and I did some research on my own, to cover what the sessions hadn't.
...What? I was a kid thirsty for knowledge, and I still kinda am, even today. Nothing particularly shocked me, because I looked for facts, not "gossip".
Health books and all that good stuff. Twilight, eat your heart out,
What?! Health books better than MINE? Impossible!
Me: The same could be said for making a supersonic flying machine, but humans have done that, too.
A supersonic flying machine? What are you, crazy??
Me: Halfway insane, yes. But here, *shows her a diagram and specification list for a Lockheed SR-71 reconnaissance aircraft*
Okay... Cold War era design... fastest jet aircraft ever built in human history... cruising speed of.... Mach 3.
...MACH 3?!?! That's three times the speed of sound!! And its cruising altitude; that would have to be on the edge of outer space itself!!
Me: Well, yeah. And the highest cruising altitude of any piloted jet aircraft ever designed, built, and put into service. Its records remain unbroken, 49 years after its introduction, and it's retired, too.
...
Me: Like I said; eat your heart out, Twilight.

I like how it's kept low key rather than a big deal like a lot of comics and stories make it. It was just kind of awkward for a while (At least for me) and this comic captures that perfectly. Love the facial expressions too btw . Great work!

I'm not gonna lie: I'm so deep in Cheerilee's Garden that first I thought that Sweetie Belle would tell Rarity that Cheer told them that story.
I'm so creepy.

You've got to learn some time.
And then, if your life mirrors mine, learn four more times, because apparently they think it's necessary to teach it every year from fifth to eighth grade, and then you switch schools and get it once more in high school. I don't know why any high school would teach sex ed; isn't the whole idea to teach you how to be safe before you're old enough to do something stupid?

Oh my gosh yes! I'm in 7th, and in 5th grade we had the Growing Up Program, then in 6th, we had Operation Keepsake, and now, I have heath, followed by Operation Keepsake again! Then, in 9th grade, they "get into more detail". And they wonder why my generations' so perverted!

Because your generation is around middle-school age currently. People might blame the internet, and there may be a slight element of that to it, but really it's mainly about your age.
Looking down upon later generations means comparing people to how you remember yourself being at least twenty years ago, and with most people it's miracle if they can accurately describe themselves even one decade in the past. Thus all the people who are talking about the youngest generation have entirely forgotten how disgusting they were at that age, as has been the case for every generation since the dawn of social orders where 11-year-olds are discouraged from learning about sex firsthand.

We were taught about in 4th grade. Just the one time. And I swear...I think it actually gave kids... ideas because next the thing I know boys AND Girls especially girls in my school I've notice...were talking about it/ making jokes. Me I got "the talk" from my parents isn't that lovely.
So count yourself lucky Rarity you got spared that awkward conversation.
