It's too bad she's the closest thing the Decepticons had to a female soldier during the G1 cartoon because I believe there were female Decepticons. She would have been a lovely femme for Megatron, as well as a good foil for Elita-1.
Shockwave did say that he thought the "female Autobots" were extinct, not "female Transformers."

Awesome job. I haven't seen the episode with her in it yet, but when I saw her before I got into G1 I was like "Whoa, sweet!"

I recently obtained the ENTIRE G1 series for dirt cheap, and not too long ago I came across the episode with Nightbird. I totally never saw that episode as a kid, so it was a bit of a throw back for me on that one. Still got like half of season 2 and on up to watch.
