she did it because if she and link bumped into one another (which u LITERALLY had to do u could let her zoom right by) she dropped what she was carrying which usually was junk but sometimes she had something really good...it was all random eventually to pick up her stuff faster she started flying a magical vacuum ...incidentally the downside was that if you ran into each other link loss some stuff so it's always a gamble with her

Yeah, but Link never lost any key items, just replenishable items like Rupees, bombs, seeds, etc. I always found it amusing when she had the vacuum cleaner.
