Colored pencils. I tend to use them a lot, but crayons are fun to use too. x3

usually a combination of the two, but it kinda comes naturally.

i use sharper pencils for the darkest parts, then as they begin to wear down i'm able to do the lighter parts. it's best to start with the darkest parts just so you know where the lightest highlights are. i'm not entirly sure how to explain it, but if you have specific questions, i can answer them.
