Description
Not the most refined, but such is the nature of practice. These designs are candidates for a book project, and feedback is greatly appreciated.Top: Striped predator with extensive feather mane along dorsal ridge.
Middle: Marbled predator with minimal feather filaments on elephant'like hide.
Bottom: Tradition "reptilian" predator pattern with little to no visible feathers.

The top one is the only one that looks like an animal, rather than a, while not shrinkwrapped, plain and bare-bones looking reconstruction of the rex.

Little redundant to say but, ya mind if I make a godzilla series inspired by yours?

I'd love to know the top one was real, that's one scary zebra lol. the bottom one.. just makes me feel sad.

I'd go with the middle tbh. It has a more consistent color pallete and more asthetically pleasing than the other designs.

Awesome! I think the top one is best: feathered Tyrannosaurus is possible and, in my opinion, likely, as the paper claiming it was scaly revealed very little new information on areas of Tyrannosaurus we thought weren’t scaly but were (most of the locations the paper points out are apparently ones where we already knew Tyrannosaurus had scales). I could be wrong though, so I advise you do some research before choosing one.
Also, congratulations on making it to the homepage! It’s about time your work reached there!

I think the top one indeed represents what might be the limit for how extensively or extravagantly feather T Rex was considering it must've also functioned as an ambush predator. The middle one is most likely I think, while the bottom one would be the opposite of the top representing a complete or near-complete loss of integument as it aged, assuming young chicks were feathered.

Pretty cool designs!
If the book is meant to be as accurate as possible, I would go with the bottom design, with elements from the middle one. Given how the rex seems to be more of an ambush predator, it's design would likely blend in with its environment, and since it lived in a tropical environment it would make sense for it to be green or brown. Feathering, as far as I'm aware, is up in the air since the 2017 paper detailing preserved scales on it and related creatures on various parts of their bodies, but I would have some filaments on it if I were doing it.
In terms of what looks coolest, I'm a sucker for the first one, I blame the stripes.

Start working at home with Google! It's by-far the best job I've had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this - 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail.

I'd say the middle design looks the best, but I'm not sure how to feel about its pattern...

In terms on integument, the middle one is the most scientifically plausible one.

Top one's head, ornamentation, & colors mixed with middle one's integument mixed with the bottom's duller contour shading patterning seems like a good combo in my eyes.

I love all three of them, but maybe a mix of the striped one's feathers and the marbled and tradition colors would all be nice.

The middle one indeed seems prominently favored over all, including by myself.

I think the first (Zebra) one offers the most unique take and gives it a character of its own from any other rex.
The Giraffe one is a more plausible variant.

First I thought that the zebra rex was my biggest favorite but I think the giraffe rex is a more pleasant design; it’s pattern is subtle but still complex. Seems like a more fitting camouflage, the spots look a little bit like tree bark or cracked rock/mud, for a predator like Tyrannosaurus.

Admittedly I was not expecting a zebra, giraffe and Lost World T-Rex. Still, great work!

There's scale impressions known from the top of the tail, so it isn't likely.
