Yup. His death is not shown in TF: The Movie, but in G1 Season 3 we find out that Huffer was killed in Battle in Autobot City.

Nice mosaic, but a sad one. That last line about it being good to be home...well you can sort of feel that it isn't, really. Not when those who made it a home are either dead or gone.
The pixelation in panel 3-4 is unusual. I imagine it's to show that we're seeing Prime's pov, but it also makes me wonder if that might not be the TF equivalent of having tears in their eyes.
And I'm deeply curious about the time stamps in the two panels of the dead mechs. Times of death, I think? But then there's also a timestamp in that view of Magnus and Roddy...hmm. Prime's?

I LIKE the green optics actually. I feel it gives Prime a little bit of a different feel. I mean, after all, he's been resurrected hasn't he? Now he's haunted with everything he couldn't do...so there's bound to be some form of physical/mental change.
Though overall I just like the green optics because they remind me of the comics where they were usually used (instead of giving him blue ones like all the other Autobots).

A painful but still fascinating look at what must have gone on in Prime's CPU after that whole mess with him coming back. All the people he's lost, all the deaths... The knowledge that some of his finest soldiers (all of them were his friends, I'm sure) were lost in that last rampage of Megatron's must weigh terribly on him.

That was so sad. Prime carries everything that has happened to his people and takes it personally. He's always been my favorite, although it hurts me to see him so troubled.

Took a second read to make sense, but pretty good! Couple of niggles - the green eyes for one, and the horrible pixelation on panels 4, 5 & 7. I think it's supposed to be Prime's vision, but it's not really very clear.

Yeah, the pixelation kind of gave me some fits - I tried to keep it a size that would at least keep what he was seeing recognizable, especially since the dead Autobots are supposed to look all mangled already. But I kind of felt obligated it give it SOME kind of pixelation since it's supposed to be a POV shot.
As for the eye color, that's a quirk that kind of evolved into my TF art the last couple of years - one of those things where I was trying to reconcile elements of the cartoon/comic design with elements of the toy line. I prefer using the actual toys for drawing reference as opposed to using screen caps from the cartoons or comic art, and with the original G1 toys this is damn near impossible to do and have it look good at all. The "mixed" eye color notwithstanding, you'll notice that Optimus is based on the 20th Anniversary/Masterpiece figure, and that Ultra Magnus is based on the Titanium 6-inch figure. As for Hot Rod/Rodimus there, I kinda mentally 'bashed' the G1 toy with the Classics version to make something that looked a little bit more like the cartoon.

Prime is the only one who is saved and misses about them.

Not sure about the green eyes, but it's set after the (animated) Movie when Prime is resurrected and welcomed back by the Autobots. He's thinking about those who died in the war.
