Excellent insight into Megatron with this piece. It reminds me of the saying: "One person's terrorist is another person's freedom fighter," and the way it's been put here, Megatron believes himself to be a freedom fighter, as do the rest of the Decepticons. They are not purely evil, but are simply fighting for an ideal that is the polar opposite of the one that Optimus Prime and the Autobots espouse.
And somehow, the fact that he believes he is right, that the cause he is fighting for is just, makes him even scarier than I ever imagined him to be.
