Boy did prowl fail to know a targetmaster when he saw one.

Woot! I was busy having a baby and all (well, my wife not I) and hadn't seen the final copy with lettering on this! Thanks for comments on colors, it was a fun one to do!!

nice! been waiting on this since ed's preview-panel from some time ago.
a nice more specific take on the horrors of war and its difficult decisions. that and i've always liked kingoji's expressive style and character expressions as well as his more humanly-proportioned look of the characters, as opposed to the super-broad-shouldered physiques TF-comics have featured in recent years. the volcanic-planet setting and decepticon tripods seem a little inspired both by Episode-III and (any iteration of) war-of-the-worlds.
after reading this, i even went looking for crosshairs on ebay. well done, all.

Thanks, Pietre.
Yeah, I love The War Of The Worlds book and musical. I thought I made this guy fairly different from the Martian War Machines though. The Mustafar-like planet was not intentional on my part, must have been part of the colourist's inspirations...

Damned good job! Funny how color can change and give a totally different atmosphere to a drawing!

Finally, a DECENT Mosaic!
A Mosaic that has good writing and art! This is rarer than pixie dust.

I've toyed with the thought.
Maybe later.

Clearly Prowl can't see things from a sniper's perspective. "One shot, one kill"; that's a sniper's credo.

Spiffy new piece. Whoa though on Braver being bisected

Hmm I don't really get why Prowl is so mad from the sory at all. It's not logical and Prowl is pretty much the most logical Autobot of the bunch.
It's nice to see all those Euro bots in there though. Even a Motorvator! (I'd expect Lightspeed to just vibrate through the leg though. The guy is as fast as the Flash)
(I'd just like to see them as something other as cannon fodder sometime)

Logic doesn't apply to gut feelings. Crosshairs was going with his gut, but Prowl's logic dictates that the same shot could have been made before the squad was wiped out.
And yeah, I put Lightspeed in there because he was staring at me from the shelf at the time. Nice to finally find someone who doesn't just call him 'Braver'!

I can sort of see where you're coming from but I'd expect Prowl to also see the logic in actually having to aim.
The Motorvators are extremely underused and unknown I guess. I just love their Bio's though. True superheroes
I'm a big fan of Overlord's european bio as well.

Crosshairs has a point. A very good point.
If Prowl thinks he can do it better, he should do it.

The art's great, but the story's kind of making me puzzle. I'm a little confused as to the implied backstory of it...
What, exactly, is it that Crosshair did 'atiently' that Prowl is mad about? What would Prowl have preferred he do? That's the real question...

Kingoji In reply to StevenJarekk [2009-05-06 10:07:02 +0000 UTC]
Prowl is mad because Crosshairs waited for 'the right time' to shoot while other Autobots were dying. I'd imagine that he would have prefered for Crosshairs to take the same shot before the troops were killed.

Okay, I see what I wasn't catching...
I guess I just missed something.
Still, sniper fire... The whole point is precision...

Bugger. I'm used to HM Crosshairs.
And yeah, other than that misspelling, It does begs the question on whether it's better to loose a small group than loose an entire base. But it kinda does comes down to numbers, doesn't it?

Their argument is a matter of perspective but it does make one wonder if anything could have been done to make the situation any better.

Border, not "boarder". Asides from that teeny gripe, very nice art, solid story and, nice to see some G2 guys in there (even if they were beinbg killed)
