I was trying to be all technical and stuff cuz Simon Furman used the term...
But yeah, it DID occur to me that it could be interpreted that way too. Oh well.
And I wondered if I should put "sigh" in the script or just write an onomatopoeia for the frustrated noise Needlenose was making. We ended up going with that.

I'm a little confused with the last panel, though. I get the impression that he's sighing as the others carry on, but the 'huuugggghhhh' sounds a little out of place for that.

Actually, you got Dead End and Dirge backwards. Dirge is afraid of dying; sometimes the fear buzz from his own engines gets to him. Dead End has a very high Courage stat and does not seem to fear the inevitable, he just thinks it makes most things Decepticons worry about pointless.
Dead End is the gothboy. Dirge is the headbanger, and Dreadwind is emo.

I can see your point. How this for a laugh, I can see it know Dirge is in his room listening to death/speed metal cranked up full blast and headbanging to the music and the other seekers are driven nuts by it because they can hear it in their own rooms and poor Starscream is working in some delicate gizmo and the gizmo shatters because of Dirge's music blasting and now Starscream is piss beyond all recognition! LOL!
