It's a pretty good way of explaining why he acts like he's got a crowbar up his aft most of the time. I have to wonder though: is this IDW Prowl or Dreamwave Prowl? In my opinion, Dreamwave Prowl wasn't as much of a jerk as the IDW Prowl - but of course, that's just me.

Hi, I'm the writer on this piece. Thank you all for the kind comments. Full credit to Robby, John-Paul, and Sean. They nailed this piece. I could just stare at it for hours.
While the focus is IDW Prowl, I also think that that is suitable for Marvel Prowl, and in a way, DW Prowl. He's been fairly consistent in his characterisation. My goal was to create a piece that you could basically sub in behind any scene of Prowl being a jerk. It's based on a scene from War Within, where Prowl and Jazz meet Grimlock in the ruins of the Crystal Gardens. That scene always stood out to me, as it give us a strong backstory for Prowl, something we haven't really seen for many Autobots.

Oh, I see now... I was aware of the reference to that scene from War Within when you mentioned the Crystal Gardens, but his personality in the Mosaic was closer to his IDW version. And yes, you could indeed sub this Mosaic in to any moment when Prowl is acting like a jerk.

This story seems a little weak to me, but the artwork
is some of the best I've seen in these Transformers
fan comics. I give it a 4 out of 5.

I love that last line! It justifies so much, and it makes him understandable. Too bad the guy still comes off sounding like a dorkbot most of the time.

Agreed. I always figured that as serious, logical, and tactical Prowl can be in many universes, there's a good reason behind it, and this Mosaic shows exactly why he wants to fight, even if he takes it too seriously. To the guys behind this, nice job.
