This says it all about Grimlock. He's a slagging bad@$$. So bad@$$ he doesn't surrender to anyone, not even the roar of the crowds.

Wow - I just checked this thread out of curiosity to see if folks were still looking at it - it's great to see it still gets the odd comment.
Glad you dug it!

Hmm not bad. Artwork is good but looks like it could be excellent with a bit more polish.
The writing is interesting. Not a bat take/chracterization of Grimlock.

very good! but it looks sunstreaker is in his post earth mode? it looks like the universe toy. other than that, very fluid!

Thanks!
An interesting thing about this Mosaic was that Sunstreaker appeared more or less on a whim (the conversation basically went:
HdE: Hey, Mike. We should have Grimlock pan Sunstreaker into next week.
Mike: Okay!
I had a real hard time finding any reference pics of Sunny for this one, so in the end I just went with what I could get away with - I'm just happy if I can make the characters recognisable!

Oooooh, this is an awesome one. Gotta love the characterization of this one. I've always liked Grimlock, because although he seems to act like a Decepticon, when the chips are down he's more Autobot than he'll ever admit.
Everyone keeps saying that the art is a little shaky, but I for one like it. The colors are great.

Wait a second, if this takes place before the great war, and said war took the Autobots to Earth, and Wheeljack built the Dinobots while they were on Earth, then this battle could not possibly have happened.

I take it you've never read any of the G1 comic continuities? In those, they were built on Cybertron before the war broke out, like most other Cybertronians.
Also, Rumble is Red, Frenzy is Blue, and it's JETfire, not Skyfire.

For your information, I happen to be an administrator on Teletraan-I, the Transformers Wiki, so don't tell me what info I should or shouldn't know unless you have a legitimate source to back up your claims.
Rumble and Frenzy's colors have never been clear; the toys list them as FIBRIR, the cartoon has them as FIRRIB, and I really don't give a damn either way, considering that their personalities are pretty much identical. As for Jetfire vs Skyfire, that depends on the continuity. It is true that the G1 character was initially designated Jetfire (the name which appears on the toy bio), but due to copyright issues, the production staff had to rename him Skyfire in the cartoon. Again, it makes no difference to me, as both names refer to the same character, unless of course we're talking about one of the later continuities, such as RiD, Animated, or the live action films.

Being an admin on the old Wikia isn't exactly a big boasting item with the state it's stayed in since most of us left. Might want to tone down the attitude problem when someone's trying to help you out by giving you an answer to your confusion.

isnt that the same thing? wiki and wikia?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Jeysie In reply to breaker82 [2009-10-06 22:00:57 +0000 UTC]
Nope. Most of the wiki editors left some time ago due to a major conflict with Wikia to branch off and form TFWiki.net, which is for the moment the most up-to-date version of the wiki.
But since Wikia technically still controls the place we left, we couldn't delete it. So there it sits... and as of right now, anyway, it's way out-of-date and not very well-maintained compared to the newer wiki.
(Not that I'd approve of someone on the newer wiki giving an attitude problem to someone trying to help, either, mind you.)

There technically is a wiki on Wikia for GI Joe, but I heard it's in even more woeful shape than the old TF Wiki. (We used to link to it from our TF-related GI Joe articles until we realized that in some cases we actually had more info than they did... oops.)

Well, for someone who wants to come off as being a Transformers expert, you should have known that this was set in a non-cartoon continuity, instead of dismissing it because it didn't jive with the cartoon. "Legitimate source"? You don't think the comics are legitimate?
As for rumble, Frenzy, and Jetfire, I was making a joke there.

Aha! Somebody's paying attention!
As it was, Mike and I more or less decided we wanted this story to bounce out of Eric Holme's and Alex Milne's Megatron: Origin comic book. If you bear that in mind, everything fits.

Hey no problem!
The thing to bear in mind with the Mosaics is, they're all about having a bit of fun with the characters and set ups that folks enjoy.

Ah, ya gotta love The Grimster! He's a Transformers ICON!
Mike and I had quite a bit of discussion over this script, mostly about Grimlock's character and how we thought he should act and think in this sort of set up. It was fun to beat it into shape.

I believe that by NOT reading the comics I am "leaving off". Now, I didn't say I hated it. I just said I prefer the other version better. Grimlock is awesome no matter what version he is.

The point is that more you come in and then say "well, I liked this other way better", which has nothing to do with the comic or anything at all. It was pointless.

And the more you keep bringing up MY opinion even though I like THIS Mosaic is pointless. I don't see why you have a problem with me liking Earth born Dinobots.
