Description
Today's entry is a tutorial that explains how I go about drawing pretty clouds. I really like drawing clouds 'cause it's so relaxing. I don't know why I don't put clouds in all my drawings.Post your specific questions here and I'll update the tut if necessary.

awesome tutorial
i want to ask you something. I drew the exact same clouds that you drew here because i wanted to see if i can do what you did .Is there a problem if i post it here on DA but give credit to you *originality* and post a link to your tutorial ? >.>

That's an issue that gets tossed around here on dA quite a bit. My personal opinion is that if you reference a drawing to draw something for practice, then you should be allowed to post the image as long as you credit the original artist in the comments section. Part of the reason dA's here is so that growing artists can gain experience as well as get advice, tips, and critiques for their work. So I don't see a problem with you posting your clouds.

I don't think there's a smudge tool in Painter, but you should still be able to achieve a similar effect using Painter's smeary round brush.

I have a question. What Resolution / DPI do you work in? I usually work in 800 - 600 DPI and when I use the smudge tool, it takes 12 years for each stroke I am betting it has to do with how high my resolution is?
