Skill is something you learn, What I do Could be considered tracing 
It's fun to see what you can do with a black biro without the ability to erase what you have done.
Not so much as skill, it's about knowing exactly what you want and then executing that idea.

I've got notebook full of drawings... that's what I do when I'm supposed to be studying..
BUT I don't have enough courage to start drawing without using eraser..but, I'm gettin to it.
and now I have to get me a scanner...
I just can't get over the fact, how cute and great your drawings are!

Bah, I gave up on an eraser because I'm lazy. My notebook lives in my bag, it goes everywhere with me, pencil just got smudged with all the jostling. Using a pen teaches you design control and if you screw it up, how to cover it up artfully with something.
