Soo I've been doing greyscale studies trying to improve my values and generally trying to improve how I draw portraits. I decided to do a real painting for once again.This was done entirely in Photoshop except for the initial sketch. Man how do you even hair in PS, its a pain.
I really adore this kind of shoulder jewelry, it's so beautiful and graceful and I really wanted to draw a character wearing them, so I decided to draw my DGM OC Helena with them.
The pose is from a random portrait I found on Google, the colouring is inspired by some of cashileart's drawings. She could almost pass as a Noah like this, haha.

I wanted to leave a long comment on this because it really is very, very lovely and I just adore it but my Lit classes have drained me of putting the vast majority of my thoughts into words *dying whale noises*
Seriously though, I really do love this - Helena looks soooo beautiful ;o; I like the soft tinge of color (not totally grayscale) and the softness of her skin in contrast to the shiny smoothness of her hair <3 The jewelry stands out very nicely too, especially with how you've given it that eye-catching gold color *v*
