ugh. sorry about the rant. I get really uptight when I think about last year.

I guess telling people you're smart doesn't cut it

An engineering capstone project.

First we have to come up with a design from scratch a four wheeled, off-road vehicle. We have to draw, in a 3d model, all the different separate parts of a frame, front suspension, rear suspension, then assemble it. Then we had to make a model, to scale, out of straws and tape. Then this week we had to calculate the force vectors, stresses, and moments of shear on each part that would come under that sort of stress. Now we have to go back and revise our original drawings and come up with some changes we could make in 2 weeks. The frame can be no longer than 52 inches and no wider than 48 inches.

Then next semester, he selects a few peoples vehicles and we get a $1000 budget to build it.

Really, posting this to deviantart I felt was really the only way to show that I do know what I'm talking about half the time and the fact that I'm not just a derp. I have a brain. A good one at that.
