"Let me stop you right there," Judge Truman interrupted eyeing him. The administrator crossed his arms. The courtroom was completely silent minus a cough or two. The crowd was mostly the city's upper class and well dressed. The administrator just got finished explaining everything that happened in the battle and the search. He disclosed every little bit of information he had gained over the adventure and still the room seemed intent on sentencing the admin for destruction of a natural reserve and destroying government property.
"Sure. I was done anyway," The admin said.
"May I remind you that you are under oath?"
"Sure, go ahead"
"No, administrator, think of this legitimately for a second," the judge snapped glaring at him.
The administrator pretended to think. "Hmm. Gee I dunno. Maybe I shouldn't have told the truth?"
"FINE. Then may I tell you there is no ship called Reginald in the council databases, there is no evidence this Herlim even exists, and preforming a standing jump is not possible! And if that's all the evidence you can bring to the table, then I hereby sentenc-"
"Of course the Reginald isn't in the databases," The administrator slammed his hands on the table, "It wasn't from this world! It can't be in the databases!"
"Oh god," the judge slapped his face in annoyance. The third time the administrator brought up off world schemes, "Should I just take that as a plead for insanity?"
"Why won't any of you listen to what I'm saying?! What possibly benefit would I have to lying?!" He looked around at the people. They all shot him annoyed glares. Every single one of them. The administrator chuckled which slowly turned into a full blown laugh, "OH BABY! This is too good! This entire court room is paid for isn't it?! Who paid you guys? Herlim? Certia Co.? Or maybe it was Judge Truman?"
"You've had it too good for too long, administrator. Always playing against the rules and doing things your own way," Truman sneered, "And without further ado, I hear-by sentence Administrator Bryce Romanchek to a life time in-"
The central doors exploded. Spectators screamed and ducked, hiding under their benched seats and cowering. The smoke cleared and three figures moved down the halls with a purpose. Leading the trio was none other than Attendant Marie, followed by Mr. Certia and Raiza. "I object and call for my own prompt into this," Marie demanded with a serious face.
"It's about time," the admin said still sweating from the tension, "This entire court is paid for, Marie. Be careful."
"YOU! What is this intrusion? How did you get past my guards?!" the councilor demanded. From the smoke, Skithix emerged carrying two begging men in uniforms and tossed them on the floor.
"'Cryocine Killers', they said. Barely worth my time," he cocked his head for the two men to scurry away.
"Skithix... I should have denied your living permit when I had the chance,"
"Judge Truman. I recognized your stench of corruption a mile away," he turned to the crowd of people huddling up with each other, cowering from the lizard man standing before them. "Get out," he said calmly. Immediately, the people scrambled through the door as Skithix moved to join the group.
"Your accusations are flawed, Truman," Marie said pulling out a thick folder, "Here are the documents to the mission. I believe you'll find them all in order."
"Not so fast!" Truman said in a booming voice, "Certia, your company could have all of Ragnarok's assets! You could be a super power! And you were a witness! All you have to do is say 'the administrator is guilty'. Just say the words and power will be yours!"
"No!" Marie said turning to the other economic power. It never occurred to her that Certia could stand as witness and end the administrators reign as leading technologies company. That was a plausibility and they were helpless to stop his decision.
"The administrator..." Certia began thinking about the deal, "Is innocent."
"No... NO!" The judge muttered
"And if that's not enough," he said signaling Raiza. She pulled out a vanilla folder that was stacked almost has high as Marie's, "Here's a second report of what happened."
"Signed and dated by Certia Co," Raiza said proudly.
Marie pulled out one last piece of paper, smiling at the other company. "You may also need this," she said handing the paper to the judge. He briefly looked over it before looking back at the group.
"What the hell is this crap?"
"That 'crap' is your eviction notice. You have 48 hours to pack up and leave your office. Have a nice day," Marie said as her, the administrator, and the rest of the crew left the empty court room for him to look long and hard over the paper.
"So about my payment," Certia brought up with Administrator, "You still owe me a lot."
The administrator rolled his eyes. "Yes yes. I sent it to your facility a little bit ago. But on another note, have another proposition you may be interested in."
* * *
"THAT'S FULL OF CRAP!"
"YOU'RE FULL OF CRAP!"
"THIS WON'T HAPPEN AT ALL!"
"IF YOU'D JUST LISTEN FOR ON-"
"LALALALALALALALANOTLISTENINGLALALALALALA!"
"OK NOW WHO'S BEING IMMATURE?!"
"I'M RIGHT YOU'RE WRONG SIMPLE AS THAT LALALALALALALALALA!"
Marie and Raiza had been outside Certia's office watching Romanchek and Certia clash over the same issue. They could barely hear the yelling but they could hear just enough to understand that they were fighting. Raiza seemed actually pretty excited about the whole issue going on. "I can't believe that the administrator plans to bring back the old Ragnarok/Certia corp alliance."
"I wouldn't lift your hand from the trigger just yet," Marie sighed, "Honestly, things don't sound like they're going too well in there."
"I've kind of aspired to be a secretary like you."
Marie gave one of her rare smirks, "And you're not doing a half bad job. Pushing papers is a tough position and not a lot of people look for it. But I've been through a lot more than just pushing papers."
Raiza was about to ask what she meant when the Admin busted out the door, fingers in his ears still 'la'ing loudly.
"ARE YOU FREAKIN' SERIOUS ABOUT THIS?! ARE YOU?! I'M TELLING YOU WHETHER YOU CAN HEAR ME OR NOT! HEKTOR! IS! GOING! TO! BEAT! DRAGOMIR!"
"FAT CHANCE," the Admin returned, "He may not seem like much, but Dragomir's been training his ass off the last 3 weeks for this next fight! He now not only happens to have a tactical advantage to Hektor, but now he has the skills! May I remind-"
"So," Marie interrupted, "Did you two even sign the contract? Or did you just talk about the up-coming fights?"
"Wha-" The admin and Certia looked at each other with blank expressions, "Um... yeah. We signed it about an hour ago. Was it an hour ago?"
"It was definitely an hour ago," Certia nodded in agreement.
"We've been standing out here for an hour and a half... while you guys argued about sports?"
"Yeah?"
"... start running..."

I must say, I quite enjoyed it.
I'm still suspencefully awaiting the return of the matches, but this gave me a good laugh or ten.
Interesting to see Mr.Certia/Raiza making a appearance.
Even your comedic relief stories are really entertaining, and make for a good change of pace between the mass explosions ensuing Ragnarok.
